1. What will be the surprise move on draft day that no one saw coming that we should have seen coming?

2. What position will we grab a player that everyone will bemoan because we didn't need a player at that position?

3. What position will we ignore that everyone pretty much universally agrees is a team need in this draft?

4. What round will we take.a QB?

5. What player trade do you expect to get floated by us on draft day? Will we get any takers?

Well, it is too early to make predictions, but I think I can make some bold statements about the draft.
1. I do not care what position on offense you want to fill, if offense is what happens in round 1 though 3 the Cowboys will be 9-7 or 10-6 and not be in the playoffs.
2. If the Cowboys pick 1T Tackle (Vea) then MLB second then SS the Boys will be 12-4 and in the NFC Championship game.

There, that is me being BOLD!:);)
 
The Cowboys have more than enough needs to afford them a bounty of talent to pick from in the draft without forcing any one position on the team. Rather than draft for weak spots, how's about taking the very best talent available at positions of need? The possibilities should be in great supply. Here's hoping the individual choices are, talent-wise, extremely well founded. I hope the FO goes with their most capable judges of the available abilities in each round. I hope we avoid blowing any picks in the first three or four rounds and find some nice surprises beyond that. We all have our favorites. Here's hoping you'll get some of yours. ;)

Vea....DT
Harrison....S
Jewel....LB
 
All 3 can come in and play now. Raises the level of the entire team and fills needs.

Historically, some of us value the DT position more than they do. Haven't taken one in the first since Johnson took Maryland and I don't think this year will be any different. However, if they take a LB in the 1st, I'm fine with that.

I do not want a WR in the top 3 rounds, OL would be OK and I could even take a TE over a WR but we still don't know what they'll do with Dez and I could see them cutting him and taking a WR, in fact trading up for Ridley, because that's a sexy position to Booger.

The one safe prediction I will make is that we will have posters not happy about some of the picks and some not happy with any of the picks. The biggest surprise in this draft to me will be if Booger doesn't try to make a splash in front of the home crowd with a trade early on. The largest viewing audience will be on Thursday night, if they stand pat at 19 and do not move up, that will be a big surprise.

As far as the effect on this season, they better do a lot better then last year's 1st round because they need players to start right away.

Tight end is being not talked about enough as a fairly dire need. Unless they know something none of us know about Gathers. I want Gesicki or Goedert badly. That's a Dak friendly pick..either of them. Goedert can make circus catches..but Gesicki is your Jimmy Graham elite pass catcher and route running TE. We have 2 fourth round picks I believe..so I would package both and move up into the bottom of round 3 and grab one of those TE'S. Witten is mu guy..but he's just too slow.
 
The suprise will be Dallas taking a RT with the first pick. If McGlinchy is there.

LB at 2
TE at 3

or vise versa with 2 and 3.

Gisicki in the 2nd is what I’m hoping for. Dude is freak athlete. Might have to move up.

Do you think they'd take a stud TE and cut into Witten's reps? I know they'd like to have him tutor a young TE but I don't think he's ready to give up any playing time to one.

1- to some taking a G in the top 3 is gonna be a surprise
2- that Guard is gonna be blasted by many
3-my guess is safety could be left till later or not at all
4- I don’t think we take a QB baring some dramatic fall
5- the most logical trade is Beasley
To me the only guys you really could trade are Irving and Beasley and get anything
 
1. Trade up for LB Edmunds.
2. WR
3. 1 Tech DT or FS
4. We won't
5. Beasley, and I doubt it.

takers? I think there is a chance that either Dez/Bease gets traded during the draft.
