Draft predictions

LB on Day One and Then Some.

Need to find Sean Lee's replacement and or cover for the loss of Hitchens along with having a solution for the unknowns involved with Smith. Sean Lee will have a dead cap hit of tad over $3M next year with a cap savings of $7M if released. I love the guy, but he is over 30 and seems to miss stretches of time every year with dire consequences for a team that seemingly rolls with no talent behind its best players.

The LB group needs a complete overhaul.

Dang.

Ourlads has us taking Via in the first round.

I thought best LB first.
a good LB would be available at 50. No one is elite at LB in this crop..so they are all basically a crap shoot. I wouldn't be mad.

We can land 2 good LB'S in the middle rounds that can do essentially what any LB we draft in round 1 can do. Jewell in round 3 and maybe another later or just wait and sign Bowman to add into the mix. Could even wait til the June 1 cuts and get a guy on the cheap..rent them for a year.

Look back at the 23 third and fourth round picks the Cowboys have made in the past 10 years then tell me the likelihood that they can grab 2 players there that will contribute like a first rounder.

We have so many posters salivating for a true 1T this draft. Too bad the FO is usually way behind the curve when it comes to realizing that we're right.

Maybe that will be the big surprise.

1. What will be the surprise move on draft day that no one saw coming that we should have seen coming?

2. What position will we grab a player that everyone will bemoan because we didn't need a player at that position?

3. What position will we ignore that everyone pretty much universally agrees is a team need in this draft?

4. What round will we take.a QB?

5. What player trade do you expect to get floated by us on draft day? Will we get any takers?

1) a trade down with NE in the first round. They get their QB we get their 31'st pick in the first round and their pick in the 2'nd round

2) If history holds true, the second round on a TE not named Escobar. The pick that came from NE :)

3) totally ignore? Safety maybe

4) 5'th or later

5) see #1

No doubt, some of us will like our draft results and some won't. Here's hoping there are many more of the former. Listening to angry fans is a drag!

Yea because he was such a speed demon early in his career.

Guys need to stop with that narrative already. He wasn't fast at TEN, he isn't fast at DAL, he won't be fast in the future.

Speed isn't his game. It never was.
Just in case everyone missed this post.

I did see video on the Penn State LB.

But Ourlads has him rated about 5th or 6th round pick.
