Romo gets no help. We need to rely on Dez Bryant's development, which has been plagued, and Miles Austin staying healthy, which has also been plagued. Where is the depth outside of that? There is none, because we've paid the position no mind in the draft.

The Giants draft wide receivers in the first 3 rounds.
The Giants have spent the following picks since 2006
1st Round - Hakeem Nicks
2nd Round - Steve Smith, Sinorice Moss
3rd Round - Jerrell Jernigan, Ramses Barden, Mario Manningham
That is 6 picks in the first three rounds on wide receivers...
The Cowboys?
1st Round - Dez Bryant
That's it...
We absolutely wasted a 2nd round pick on drafting Martellus Bennett, right after we had spent one on Fasano... These 2nd round picks aren't gimmees... When you combine that with what we did with Roy Williams, it absolutely set us back a year or two. 2009 is a complete waste of a draft class, and 2008 is on the verge of being the same. We just haven't drafted well.
I think our draft last year was potentially really good, and I think even though we didn't have a 3rd in 2010, our 2010 draft will end up good just based on Dez Bryant and Sean Lee.
Fact is we absolutely need to start helping Romo more with the draft. The last two drafts I think we've done that. Tyron Smith and Dez Bryant. That needs to continue with DeCastro, but we probably need to take a wide receiver at 2 or 3.
I really like Marvin Jones, WR, Cal in the 3 Round.
I think we've spent way too many draft picks on linebacker and not necessarily seen that return yet.
5 linebackers selected in the first 3 rounds since 2006. 2 tight ends selected in the first 3 rounds since 2006, when we have a hall of fame tight end on the roster.
We've also been hindered by our absolute inability to draft good offensive linemen. Our one bright spot was Doug Free, but who knows with him right now, hopefully he rebounds at right tackle.
My thoughts too.johnnyd;4473753 said:Victor Cruz was a UFDA just saying.

It's a passing league and the Giants have learned how to win in it, by building through the draft (i.e. prioritizing home-grown youth), feeding their offense receivers (i.e. contributing to their own team's positive passing production), and feeding their defense a rush (i.e. contributing to their oppnents' negative passing production).

I'm not real big on speculation and hypothetical situations, but if they mean to follow their board and select the BPA as a strategy - what will people say?
Some will be outraged, some will blame Jerry as out of touch, some will take a wait and see attitude... It will be interesting.
And after he was just amazing at his pro day, the odds are even slimer.cowboysooner;4475013 said:It would be really hard for Fleener to make it past both the Rams and Colts at the top of the 2nd. Both those teams are desperate for targets for their young qb's.
