Cowboys pick Tyus Bowser at 28. Whats your reaction?
Major reach.
What position has more players come off the board before the Cowboys pick: Cornerback or Edge Rusher?
The CBs.
Dede Westbrook, where is his stock range?
I'm not taking him before RD 6 but someone probably takes him RD4.
Cowboys pick Cory Davis at 28. Whats your reaction?
Major luxury pick. We were already one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Scoring hasn't been our problem and we brought back nearly everyone. Also, as much as I like him, the fact he's unable to run would be concerning for a RD1 pick. Looks fast but so did Tabor six months ago.
Who is this years surprise player to fall out of the first?
Mike Williams.
What attainable TE is the best fit for Dallas?
If they want to stress out defenses, Gerald Everett. If they want a complete Witten type who runs 8 yards and turns around, Jake Butt. We don't know what kind of TE they want. The game has changed over the course of Witten's career. There are now 5,000 yard passers. Garrett and Linehan might want something different. They may consider TE a situational position going forward.
How much should Dallas's picks be driven by their board, and how much should be driven by need?
They have a desperate need for DBs. The need this year aligns with the draft.
A trade in between picks 22 and 25 is announced and Dallas is on the board. What is you initial reaction without knowing who we are taking and what we gave up?
Foolish decision.
What players in what pick range would you consider making trade up offers?
Nobody. The positions we need have great depth. I want to trade down and add a pick in early RD3.
Cowboys pick Jabrill Peppers at 28. What's your reaction?
Greg Jackson must know something and I trust the coach. I don't like taking a SS in RD1 but we have a desperate need and he's worthy of the pick. He is a unique athlete and great near the line. He's got an attitude this defense could use a lot more of.
Julia'n Davenport: What do you see his pick range as?
Early to mid RD4.
Looking at their recent draft history, who do you see as some of the Cowboys late round targets?Eric Wilson, LB, Cincinnati
Jordan Evans, LB, Oklahoma
Marquel Lee, LB, Wake Forest
Eric Wilson, LB, Cincinnati
Tedric Thompson, S, Colorado
Nate Gerry, S, Nebraska
Jeremy Clark, CB/S, Michigan
Brandon Wilson, CB, Houston
Damontae Kazee, CB, San Diego St
Ishmael Zamora, WR, Baylor
Mack Hollins, WR, UNC
Josh Malone, WR, Tennessee
How many year 1 starters do you expect from this draft?
Two. Picking late, anything more than two is extremely lucky unless we draft a FB late or something. 13-3 teams don't have that many spots open.
Cowboys pick Curtis Samuel at 60. Whats your reaction?
Cussing. Lots of cussing.
