Ok if Rapp and Thornhill are both on the Board at 58.
Would you draft one then try and see if you could use pick 90 and maybe Taco Charlton to move up and grab the other.

Reason being you would have two very goos safetys. One who can learn under Iloka the other starts ASAP in single high FS.
Let Woods be the primary Back up FS Nickle and SS Spot guy.

No I wouldn’t... and I don’t think we’ll see the team do it either. They like Woods at FS and are only looking for someone to pair with him.

IMO, Woods is going to be a good deep safety, really soon.

I think in the 2nd or 3rd they’ll draft a safety to play closer to the line and will move on to other positions after that. And I agree with that.

Ok I dont get why every thinks they love Woods so much?

They wanted to go get Earl Thomas Twice and where suposedly willing to go yo 8m+ a year for him which i fact moved Woods to Strong.

There is alot i mean alot of Chatter on Juan Thornhill is the Guy at 58.

He is the best all around tool FS in the Draft and perfect fir for the single high.

Woods wont be the Starter over him. If they love him so much why even talk to Eric Berry?

I think thats all a smoke screen

We’ll see, I suppose.

I think they wanted Thomas last year because they were unsure of Woods, and Earl was available. They only offered a second (although that wasn’t even really verified), so they had a limit to how much to they wanted him.

IMO, they watched Woods all of 2018 and was pretty happy with how he played, lowering their need/desire for Thomas even more. I’m sure they would have liked to have him but they reportedly didn’t even offer anywhere near what Baltimore gave ET. If they would have wanted him a lot, he would be in Dallas right now in all likelihood... and they certainly would have at least made a competitive offer if that were the case.

So last year, they deemed Thomas worth no more than a second round pick and a new contract for the going rate... after watching Woods this past season, they didn’t want to pay the going rate even with no draft compensation.

So if they wanted ET... it wasn’t very badly.

As for Berry, I think they were just doing their due diligence there. He has the character the team likes and if he would go low enough on a prove it contract, I’m sure Dallas would be interested. With his injury history, they certainly weren’t looking at him as any kind of replacement for anyone. Likely just hoping for a steal on a great guy and once great player.

Again, like ET, they didn’t want him that much or he’d be a Cowboy.

As for Thornhill, maybe they’d want him to replace Woods... maybe not. Common sense tells me that they are looking at a lot of safeties that will be there in the second or third round and he is one of them. Common sense also tells me that the team is much more likely to be looking to replace Heath than Woods, who played pretty well last year.

Maybe I’m wrong - I don’t know any more than you do about what the team will do come draft day - we just don’t know. But that is how I see it right now.

Dont forget Thornhill can play CB aswell. With Anthony Brown Fa next year. Could be the wrighting on the wall.i would personally trade Anthiny Brown and see if i can get some value for him

That’s true. It’s going to be interesting.

I would only draft one of those safety's if a good defensive lineman didn't drop. If a good DT like Dexter Lawrence drops, I'd be taking him. We can use Taco to move up to the 89th pick in the 3rd round.

Honestly I would watch Abram see if we could jump maybe the Texans or Eagles . If he go picked earlier then go Juan Thornhill.

If you want a CB its the Vanderbilt kid or Isiah Johnson in the 3rd if Knox the TE is there.

And if u miss on those one of those Kentucky Kids in the 5th or 7th.

Anthony Brown needs to be replaced. He is a waste of space.

I yhi k the Cowboys could see DT McCoy from the Buccs get Released and he might head our way.?

Anoyher name i would watch on the market is Darron Lee LB Jets who could be released or traded for a 7th

@Xavier187 this is the answer to your question.

Its not really an answer if you look at what all the hype is about they want a Safety.

Going rate was a 2nd but they wanted Conner.
A new contract would have been in the 10m+ range so yea dodged that bullet.

Yo me Tre Boston over Iloka everyday of the week and i dont see Iloka staying the roster if Abram is drafted

I like the idea of Darron Lee flying around in a semi monster role.
I’d move Jaylon to the edge on passing downs and leave Lee and the Wolf as LB’s in the dime.

Rapp's 4.7 40 scares the hell out of me. That's about average speed for an NFL linebacker, and they're about 40 pounds bigger than him. I can't think of a guy off my head who's succeeded with a FS size / LB speed combo, so there's no way I'm spending a premium pick on him.

Thornhill screams Cowboys pick IMO. He is that Seahawks style long, explosive DB, and he checks every box we have for prospects. Doubt he makes it to #58, but if he does, I am pulling the trigger immediately and not even thinking about moving back up for Rapp.

The beat part about Thornhill is his ability to play Both FS and CB. He is versatile.

If Abram falls i could see him as the pick.
But i just see them passing on Rapp of there.
The Florida S\CB Cheuncy would be another player they could add

I think Isiah Johnson is another guy to watch if we could get him in the 3Rd or we can trade and get another 3rd.
Taco our 5th and next years 4 for Steelers 83rd and 176th pick would work

I don't want any part of Rapp, but I'd be fine with Thornhill at 58.
