That Cowboys' draft would be just PUTRID...

Assuming they had the players ranked something close to right (and I see a few in there that I think they rate MUCH too low), here would be some preferable choices for each pick:

1st Round:

OG Max Jean-Gilles
WR Santonio Holmes
FS/CB Michael Huff
WR Martin Nance
WR Hank Baskett
WR Todd Watkins...

For any of the last 3, I'd trade down into the early 2nd, looking to add an extra 2nd or (more likely) 3rd round pick...

2nd Round:

ILB Abdul Hodge
NT Steve Fifita
NT Gabe Watson
OLB Thomas Howard
WR Travis Wilson

3rd Round:

C Mike DeGory
WR Maurice Stovall
FS/CB Jason Allen

If Brady Quinn comes out, which he probably won't, he'll be picked pretty high. Scouts will be drooling over the next Tom Brady. If he fell to Dallas, I wouldn't care what they did in the rest of the draft. If he's a franchise QB, Dallas would be thrilled.

Of course that draft mock is REAL early. Things will change a lot.

Yea I don't think Quinn lasts that long either, if he's there it's hard to complain. But I don't think Dallas is looking to draft a QB yet, they definitely won't reach...not that Quinn at that spot is a reach at all. Hell even Drew Stanton at that spot wouldn't be a reach even though MSU QBs tend to ermm struggle.

and Vince Young already said he was staying in school (good decision by him, because he isnt a pro QB prospect)

I think Brady Quinn will stay in school too, and that would be a smart decision on his behalf...he isnt ready yet and another yr with Charlie Weis will be beneficial for him

I'd also like to get Ahmad Brooks, or Haloti Ngata, or AJ Hawk, or Bobby Carpenter... hell throw in a safety FTHOI. I still don't get worried about our WR position. I think there's a WR in FA in our future.

i was watching the VU VT game today and they were saying he was a safety prospect in the NFL and could go late first. Seemed like he had good size and is a good cover corner. cant for the life of me think of his name tho
