Drafting a QB?

Dak had a great rookie season but I think it's fair to not anoint him quite yet...it worked out well for the Commanders when RG3 had his issues.

That being said, should we draft a QB in the mid rounds this season?

If so, any prospects?

With Romo on the way out, Dak has been anointed. If we draft a QB it will be in search of a backup. Some need to stop trying to link RG3 with Dak, he's not going to end up like RG3.

  • 1 - Arizona, Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Green Bay, Houston, Miami, Minnesota, New Orleans, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Washington
It must be tough being a Jets fan during the past three years when it comes to this topic.

Who's anointing Dak? I haven't read anyone here making a shrine to him and burning incense.

Lol Rams burned a day 2 on Mannion and mortgaged there future on Goff the very next year. Bad scouting, bad coaching, bad front office, or all three

This thread is evidence that folks don't truly appreciate the diamond in the rough that Dak truly is.

A rough diamond that set rookie qb records. So when he truly is a diamond, wonder what stats hell put up. lol.

I'd love for Dak to be the guy but to think he doesn't have holes in his game that need fixed is naive. Until he proves otherwise and puts in the work, you have to assume those holes will not be fixed. He played with a GREAT supporting cast and that won't always be the case. That is how he is similar to those other QBs who fell off. We will have a lot of answers in year two of what kind of player he is after a full offseason to put in work.

The point of the thread is, would you draft someone in case Dak is not the guy or, in the Patriots model, to groom up and trade off? I think I would.

So did Romo in 2014 when he had a career year.

Exactly. Once he gets a couple years of experience and polished, he could be Brady caliber great. I just hope he is surrounded by greatness as well.

No, the only good one is Kelly and he has issues.

This has nothing to do with Romo.

Every time I hear from you it's always about some comment I made about Romo. Dez has had injury issues and he continues to struggle with getting open.

You brought up Romo, not me. It was about RGIII and Dak.
