... almost more than the loss, because I knew the Romo roaches would crawl back out of the darkness after two weeks of near-bliss.

That does not mean I'm happy with every decision Romo made Sunday, but the overreaction around here is always extreme.

For those that think Dallas should replace Romo, can you just get over it or get out? He IS the quarterback of this team and you might as well learn to live with it for all its highs and lows. That doesn't mean you have to like the lows, but every QB has them, so learn to keep them in context.

Right now, I just feel bad for Romo. He can make 20 to 30 good throws, but all it takes is 2 to 3 bad ones to ruin any goodwill he has gained, to bring back all the hate and venom that was put on the shelf for a couple of weeks in which he showed (again) why he deserves the support of every Dallas Cowboys fan.

It was definitely ended up being a bad day for Romo. Why must some people make it worse?

No Cowboys fan wants Romo to do these bone headed things that makes you wonder what he is thinking about.

I like to support Romo and stand behind him, but he makes it hard on his supporters and defenders sometimes

Because their hearts frown on the inside. It's the only thing I can think of -- they're just unhappy people.

Im not a Romo basher, never have been...I agree that like it or not, he is our QB going forward..However, what do you expect from these people? If anything, Romo has regressed..it's not a good sign..people are upset and they should be

Oh brother. Do you think he's reading these threads and crying in his corn flakes or something? Besides, this forum has the most pro-Tony threads after a loss by far. Win or lose, he's very well-served by this fanbase.

Sorry to go off topic, but I read the other day that Wheaties hasn't had an athlete spokesperson since Tiger Woods in like 1998 or 1999.

Tony would be a great choice.

Back to the rants.

A little common sense, or maybe football sense?

Being upset is one thing (and should be expected). Being an idiot about it is another.

I'm disappointed in this loss. I'm disappointed in Romo in this loss. But like his teammates, that doesn't take away my support of him, it doesn't mean I don't think Dallas can win with him (because it has shown it can).

You say, for instance, that he has regressed, but I see no reason to buy into that. First, he's playing with a broken rib. Second, he's playing without his most reliable receiver. Third, he's playing with a young line that allows pressure at inopportune times (such as on the interception thrown toward Witten).

Disappointment makes people fail to see or understand these things.

Tell the truth, you couldn't wait to come on here and start a thread telling people how to be a fan.

Only he could change that perception and he hasn't it's been 6 years and it's still the same old crappy just a different year. At some point you need to ask yourself can you continue to waste all the talent on the team for a lost cause?

People are being idiots because they no longer believe in Romo? I think that is a bit harsh..you don't think Romo has given them enough reason to not believe?

It's probably not intelligent marketing to have a choker represent your food product.

Kidding, of course, it was just too easy too pass up.

On one interception, I think he was thinking he could throw it over the linebacker, and just didn't.

On another, I think he was thinking his receiver was going to cross in front of the defender, which should have happened.

On the third interception, he saw a wide-open Witten, his eyes got wide and he thought he could get the ball to him, but shouldn't have because he was forced to throw off his back foot.

If he makes that third play, Witten possibly scores, the game is over and bonehead becomes brilliant in a matter of seconds.

It's tough being a quarterback.

Look he was making all the throws just fine now he throws a pick and it's because of his RIBS? That "young" o-line played brilliant yesterday I am not sure what to tell you, but it disappoints me that people continue to make excuses for him and his poor decision making. It's a pattern. Show me different. The fact is you can't. I don't need to hear he has the highest blah blah in the 4th quarter. Because let's face it the stats don't tell the story.

Really.
I keep hearing "he always let's me down". It's like the previous two weeks didn't happen.

I agree with the notion that Romo is our QB and isn't going anywhere! For now! His contract will pretty much take care of that. As far as people overreacting i think your underreacting. I believe it should be reacted to strongly because of past practice. C'mon do you really think it's ok for him to continually make rookie mistakes at 31-32? It's simple if your happy with just being competitive then it doesn't bother you as much. I've been a Cowboy fan for 33 years and i'm sorry being just competitive is not what this organization has ever been about. I agree you get upset, state your case, but move on. It hurts more when you have a real good team and have for years not been there mentally. Now the defense has got it mentally and as a qb the three bad throws do outweigh the great 20-30, when they continually come at wrong times and cost us games. This team should be 4-0! People talking about our defense......instead where talking about another meltdown from Tony! That's not our fault...we wish we didn't have anything to react to!

That's exactly it. In fact, I'm Tony Romo.

I'm also glad we have you to count how many pro-Tony threads we have after a loss in comparison to other forums.

Because I don't work on Sundays, I don't get on this board until Monday afternoon, and end up looking over all the threads concerning that week's game.

The idiocy far outweighs the intelligence.

2 weeks don't make up for a career of blunders. Regular season stats and wins don't mean squat. He isn't getting it done.
