Dreaded coming on here today ...

2 weeks don't make up for a career of blunders. Regular season stats and wins don't mean squat. He isn't getting it done.

Smart move to remove the "We will never win more than 10-13 games" line from your post.

:D

Tell the truth, you couldn't wait to come on here and start a thread telling people how to be a fan.

Yes, it's my No. 1 pleasure in life.

No Cowboys fan wants Romo to do these bone headed things that makes you wonder what he is thinking about.

I like to support Romo and stand behind him, but he makes it hard on his supporters and defenders sometimes

Right, and even though I'm still "stunned" and made some emotional comments, he is our QB and I'll back him, as I will any other player on the team. Even tohugh I have my criticism of certain players, and defend others, as we all do. I still want the players I criticize to prove me wrong....i'll eat crow with a smile if they do.

I have come to the conclusion, and will live with it...we have Brett Favre's son at QB....Favre Jr.
There I said it.

Oh brother. Do you think he's reading these threads and crying in his corn flakes or something? Besides, this forum has the most pro-Tony threads after a loss by far. Win or lose, he's very well-served by this fanbase.

The answer is yes, yes they do think the players read the message boards.

In their eyes..

Criticism of Romo = complete overeaction

That's exactly it. In fact, I'm Tony Romo.

I'm also glad we have you to count how many pro-Tony threads we have after a loss in comparison to other forums.

Because I don't work on Sundays, I don't get on this board until Monday afternoon, and end up looking over all the threads concerning that week's game.

The idiocy far outweighs the intelligence.

I guess I don't understand your premise. After all, this is the most homerific Dallas forum in the universe. Why anyone would dread coming here after a loss is bewildering, mainly thanks to an army of enablers and apologists waiting to hold your hand, stroke your hair, and assure you that "everything will be alright." Hell, you had people rushing to Tony's defense last night even before the body was cold.

On one interception, I think he was thinking he could throw it over the linebacker, and just didn't.

On another, I think he was thinking his receiver was going to cross in front of the defender, which should have happened.

On the third interception, he saw a wide-open Witten, his eyes got wide and he thought he could get the ball to him, but shouldn't have because he was forced to throw off his back foot.

If he makes that third play, Witten possibly scores, the game is over and bonehead becomes brilliant in a matter of seconds.

It's tough being a quarterback.

For the 100th time the 3rd INT if it would have been completed it would have been called back there was a HOLDING on the play but was declined because of the INT.

People are being idiots because they no longer believe in Romo? I think that is a bit harsh..you don't think Romo has given them enough reason to not believe?

No, I don't think he has. I think he has given people reason to be disappointed in his play yesterday.

And can you tell me it's not idiocy to want Romo to be benched?

Maybe idiocy is the wrong word, but it's all I can think of at the moment.

I didn't remove anything.. Is it wrong?? Because I am looking at the last 6 years and so far so good.

Thanks for reading my mind.

No, criticism of Romo doesn't equal complete overreaction. Complete overreaction means complete overreaction.

If you don't see plenty of that on this board concerning Romo, you're blind.

Of course. That way they can position themselves as "cool, calm and rational" as opposed to those "barbarians" at the gate. Sad, really.

Depends how you define a "career of blunders".
5, 6 or 7 games vs 15-25 good ones?

I even see some idiots throwing in the special teams blunder he made many years ago as some sort of evidence that he can't be a winning qb. Unreal.

Bottom line though--everyone is entitled to an opinion on the guy. So bash away!
It just seems that his blunders are magnified and his triumps are easily forgotten.

We're apparently viewing this forum with different eyes. From what I saw when I got here, the number of threads blasting Romo far outweigh any supporting him.

And as I said, I do think criticism of his play in this game is warranted. I just wish people would be realistic in their criticism instead of going to extremes. The extremes wear on me.

Oh, never mind, I see it's part of your signature. It's probably not wrong, but wouldn't you be perfectly happy if the Cowboys won 10-13 regular season games a year? That would put them in the playoffs nearly every year.

if people want to bench Romo because they think Mcgee or Kitna give us a better chance, they would be wrong..

if people want to bench Romo to send him a message and try to hold him accountable, i dont see how that isn't justified

CowboyStar88 - give me one team the Cowboys put out there that was good enough to win a SB, that Tony was a part of. One team.

Answer, you can't. This board and other Cowboys boards have beaten every aspect of the team for years, from top to bottom, so I don't see how he could be the problem.

Personally I am sick and tired of the QB of AMERICA'S TEAM being the butt off every joke and topic.

I am tired of no post season success it's completely crap and 6 years later it isn't getting any better.

I hear you Glory. But it's not like the guy is slacking on us. He's been a freaking MASH unit giving all he has these past three weeks.

I understand if some are just tired of him, but I think he does feel responsible. And I do think he is trying his best.

I'm sure the team being in protection mode with his job to read and react and not hold the ball long (to prevent getting creamed and sent to the OR) at least somewhat contributed to what happend yesterday.

Maybe it's not enough. I know plenty here think that's the case.

You don't think that 07 team was any good?? or the 09 team?? That team got hot at the right time. Don't give me he didn't have a team.

He is not slacking on us, no..he is capable of leading this team-he has proven it..HOWEVER, he has also proven that he is capable of destroying a game..this team (mainly Garrett) has to be smart enough to find balance...when to attack and when to reel it in...

Look at this 2009 stats, I think he had 9 pick, well he is almost there now. He has not gotten better, he old and worse.
