I believe Drew will go as far as the team lets him. If the D fails, or if the running game fails, or the OL fails so will he. But if our team keeps on playing like they have been (outisde of monday night). We can contend for the SB

Anyone not satisfied with Bledsoe is being way too critical and holding him to a ridiculously high standard.

Those that say he will earn their support if he wins a SB because that's what we measure QB's by here in Dallas.

The Cowboys have been playing football for 45 years and have won 5 SB's.

That's a pretty high standard to hold someone to.

Every QB makes mistakes.

The truth is Bledsoe is playing well, and the only thing I don't like about him is that he's not 27 yrs old.

We all love Aikman, but if he had played for another team and NOT won a SB, would that make him a bad QB ? No.

Bledsoe is playing his position as well as any on our team this season.

I agree we need all the parts doing the job to get to where we want to go. I said the same about the Cowboys in the 90's as well as every other SB team the Cowboys have had. It takes good play all around to get the job done.

I agree. I did not know Troy and Roger won those SB by themselfs I recall a Doomsday Day Defense and guys like Dorsett and Pearson and a top offense line playing with Roger and Guys like Irvin, Emmitt, Haley, Novacheck, a top notch offensive line and a host of others playing with Troy.

I agree Bledsoe is playing well but before I start gusshing over him like some I want to see how he performs come the end of the season and playoffs. This just might be me but I judge A player on how he plays on the biggest stage before I judge them. I will not say Bledsoe is the only reason we may lose because this team has other flaws but I want to see if he can hold up his end of the bargain.

I would be more inclined to agree with you there. If we make the post-season and Drew has a bad game he will catch heat and rightfully so, it comes with the job.

As of today, I can't judge him on what he does in the playoffs, all I can judge him on is what he has done so far.

BTW, I'm not gushing, I just think he has played pretty well.

Not saying you are gushing but some are and I do not feel this book has been finished yet and to say otherwise is foolish. Also for whatever reason he was fired by 2 other teams so the man has some warts. Lets hope this redemption story turns out well for all.

For some reason people just think Drew's mistakes are worse than another QB doing the same thing. Interceptions are costly. They are never pretty in general. He has only 7, most are not really his fault.

Drew's 7 interceptions:

1) @SF - returned for a TD (mistake #1 outcome: Win)
2) @SF - after SF fumble, a great defensive play on sideline
3) @OAK - Hail Mary
4) NYG - Hit as he was releasing pass for would-be Glenn TD
5) @SEA - Great play after ball deflected on would-be Glenn TD
6) @SEA - Bad pass with 11 seconds left (Mistake #2 outcome L)
7) @PHI - Bad pass during would-be sack (Mistake #3 outcome W)

So he really only had 3 bad mistakes resulting in 1 loss (and there is no guarantee Dallas would have won in OT vs Seattle). He could easily have 2 TDs instead of 2 of those, and be 16 TD 5 INT.

Very, very well put and I agree 100%. Drew has performed above my expectations. But no, this book is far from being totally written.

Note that 6 of 7 INTs came on the road, as did all 3 bad mistakes. Drew is still 7-2 in his last 9 road games, with 15 TD 9 INT.

Backing Bledsoe, its been a while since i had a good feeling when a cowboys qb stepped back and set up to launch a deep pass, or felt comfortable with a cowboys qb having to make something happen.

For several years i was cringing everytime we passed.

The cringing was all in your head. Carter outplayed Joey Harrington, Kerry Collins, Drew Bledsoe, Patrick Ramsay,Jake Delhomme and McNabb in several games. He also passed for 210 yards on the Pats to Brady's 212 and Galloway was injured and Ty Law shut down Glen and Bryant and Witten dropped passes in Patriot territory. Get real.

Unreal isn't it?? Some people are just blinded by the mediocre to BAD qb play here the last 4 years to really see what we have in Drew Bledsoe...

I suspect even after a Super Bowl win there will be some who will be in denial and cannot give Bledsoe his proper dues....

THANKFULLY, a lot of us can see the truth!!!

Apparently the Pats and Bills suffer from the same blindness that we doubters have. But then again, they're judging him from having watching him screw up for several years. I hope he's not here long enough to set us back four years as he did the Bills.

It is a bit funny, any other QB put up the numbers Drew has most fans would think that QB is doing a fantastic job. Then to see that Drew and the Cowboys must win the Super Bowl before some will acknowledge the job he has done so far? that is pretty pathetic and a standard that is completely unfair.

Unfair, Carter was the only qb we've had since Aikman to get us to the playoffs and with just 31 starts and a crappy supporting cast and in his just his third year at that, but you hate him. Even Aikman didn't start producing until his 39th start and he had Irvin,Smith and Novacek and Jimmy Johnson as head coach instead of Campo.

Carter was a doper that Parcells could not trust.

Maybe he was as good as kartr says, but I don't remember it that way.

He is gone, move on.

Everyone was surprised and stunned by McNabb's late int, but everyone in the media and the non-homers expect Bledsoe to throw bad ints and fumble in key situations. Can everyone but the homers be wrong?

Gotta love the revisionist history.

#2 was thrown into double coverage, as was #5 and we are not even counting the ones he has forced that were not picked, but could have been.

It's also pretty clear from what Parcells has said that the fumbled exchanges were on Bledsoe.

We have controlled bad Drew pretty well, but we have seen glimpses of him in nearly every game.

Dude, try to stick to the facts, ... did you not watch the game.

Nobody is surprised anymore when DM throws a pick in the 4th qtr.
He has like the 3rd or 4th worst passer rating in the 4th qtr in the NFL.

The day after the game on SC they showed him throwing picks in the 4th qtr against the Cowboys, the Giants, the Skins, the Niners.

He is known for it, it was no surprise.

And if you watched the game, you saw that it was Bledsoe who drove his team 72 yds in 4 plays in 40 seconds to cut it to 6.

Whether we like Bledsoe or not, that is what happened.

kartr, Fine QC was the greatest QB Dallas has ever had, now can we move on. For goodness sake the he is no longer here and is no longer playing NFL football. Get over it already!!!! All you do is come here and spout off about the same thing over and over enough put it to rest once and for all. Bledsoe is the QB of this team either get behind the team or go find another team to pull for it is evident that you along with some others don't like many of the Cowboy players or head coach so what the hell are you guys pulling for?
