That’s fine and dandy. I’m not disputing that. But as you noted we’ve been down this road before with no better results .

And I wouldn’t totally sign off on Jerry has completely given it up. I’m just not drinking the Kool-Aid yet :)
No we haven't. Tuna built a 13-3 team. If he stays for that year, we beat the Giants.

All signs point toward Jerry having given up his quest for personal acceptance as a football guy. Including Jerry's demeanor. Manalive, Greg, if you can't see that it's only because you don't want to.

You think you are a die-hard fan because you say you have the guts to bash the team or it's fans on a forum???? Lol you ARE on the internet and if you read my post correctly you would of heard me saying it is very very very easy to post that prediction as you did. That is simply based on statistical facts and rules of chance. What you need to do is stand on the ledge, take a dare, and predict the rare even if it means you most likely turn out to be wrong and exposed to be so.

As far as me being a real fan, I have been a fan for longer than probably most here been alive. My "internet" or source of Cowboys information was reading sports section of newspaper everyday trying to catch any snitbit of write-up of the Cowboys, as there wasn't cable yet so unless you can say the same, don't even try to challenge mine or anyone elses fandom
No, I’m saying optimistic or more hopeful fans aren’t anymore of fans than those who are more negative and realistic.

We think Bill might have taken that 13-3 team further. We’ll never know so it’s not an argument we can wage.

Regardless whether Jethro is taking a lesser role he still has his thumbprint as GM on this franchise . His insistence on retaining Moore is one example. And his Cheapskate Son trying to get cute is another.

I still expect our Football Idiot and Son to bundle or get in the way in some fashion. So no, besides bringing in a more proven HC I don’t see much difference. And until these “ tremendous” upgrades bring the results it doesn’t matter to me.

I wasn’t any happier with Bill being frustrated and disappointed than I was with Wade or Jason.

And why I’m going to hold this HC accountable as he was hired in to take us further winning or at least playing for championships. Anything less we could have done with our last puppet.

There you go again, making stuff up.I have said He is a average to good, Bus driver yes, garbage stat Dak, all true statements. Sad how he couldn't carry the team when it counts like week 16 and so many others, yah, average to good, I'll stick with that until he does something to prove me wrong. If I'm 5 you are not even weaned yet.
Kirk Cousins, 4,917 yards, 2016. Bus driver.

Way too easy to refute his post, Brax. Dalton has thrown for over 4,200 twice.

It's common for QB's to have a career year, and often don't come close to that. Brad Johnson threw for over 4,000 one year. Matt Schaub threw for around 4,700 one year.

It's not about the total yardage anyway.

Cousins threw for over 4,900 in 2016. Easily refuted.

Tremendously is a big word. Since we’ve been to divisional round in recent years I’d say you’re touting we’re going to championships with the upgraded coaching.

All I’m doing is holding those feet to the fire.
It's possible, though we still have some weaknesses, especially if Poe is done.

Didn't we have him as fairweather? Super Bowl or bust, right?

What do you think? McCarthy the right guy?
I like the McCarthy hire. I actually liked the Garrett hire up until mid-2016. I’ll give McCarthy a few years, too to see what he can accomplish.

Are we going to be happier with a more proven HC if we don’t have any more success?

Where’s the fun in that?

Other than the fact that realistic fans don't bring anything new to the table and negative fans are like a bug in your ear, you are right about equality.

My bashing of Jethro begun after Jimmy left. It actually started before but I tolerated . And I still kept my season tickets until the new stadium was built.

Not sure what you’re not getting. You’re just trying to discredit the messenger cause you don’t like the message.
I am going by what you have admitted to in the many posts you have made over the years on this site and the old DC.com message board.

Mostly, realistic fans have been mislabeled due to negative fans claiming to be realistic types. Misnomer.

After 25+ Years I’m “All In “ we will never win another Super Bowl with Jethro as GM and his Cheapskate Son as VP.

If McCarthy can overcome this mess of a front office then he will certainly be placed on a pedestal.

I lost my respect for JG when he settled for a 50+ yard FG even though there was well over a minute left on the clock. Never saw much improvement in this area.

They finally sign some big dudes with resumes and they lose one for good and the other is questionable before the first snap. The secondary appears to be downgraded unless the young guy is special. I hear Nolan contrasted with Marinelli as not being "vanilla" and start having flashbacks to Ryan's tenure when he was confusing his own players.

I think a little trepidation isn't unwarranted.

Which is?

You obviously weren’t paying attention if you thought I bailed on being a fan just cause I dropped my season tickets and lobbied to stop financial support of the Cowboys.

After the first 3 wins, last season against the Dog teams we faced I was here posting for folks to show prudence and not buy into your how great Dak is propaganda.
Once again I was proven correct.
Now back to your Dak hole you go....

Come on dum dum. Is that the only time you’ve disappeared? What about the season before last? And maybe 2 ago?

Remember. It was be cant throw for 300 yards etc.??

Even though it’s just the internet aren’t you a little embarrassed that you have to continuously change your argument?

Or naw that doesn’t faze you a bit?

I always thought Rodgers was the key in GB. Watched a video recently about why he only got 1 Super Bowl and they were showing his playoff performances. Those defenses straight up collapsed just about every year they didn't get that Super Bowl. I'm highly skeptical and not sold on the players. Hope my fears are unfounded.

I speak for a large segment of Cowboy fans locally who hate Jethro but still love the Cowboys.

This is my chosen path on an anonymous fan forum.
To complain about Jerry? Productive yes:rolleyes:

But what this thread is about? That?

If so it seemed to come across differently to many

I am not expecting immediate results. I think the defense is going to suck and I am curious how the offense gels. Will be interesting to see how the team progresses.
