Even more reason to wash it yourself, but that's not really important now since they already ruined it.

I think this is one of those things you just have to write off as a loss and learn from the experience, no long likes to eat money for someone elses screw up but that's just the way it is sometimes.

Give them a bad review anywhere you can find, they may be listed on sites like Yelp.com, and just tell everyone you can to stay away. In the long run it's gonna cost them more than it cost you. Did they at least refund their washing fee?
nope and im not a calm person when it comes to things like that so i paid and left rather than blowing up on someone who wasnt at fault. my GF called and *****ed out the owner

Most dry cleaners dont hand wash garments, the chemical they use is perc.

The writing on the t-shirt may have been from a dye which was shed during immersion in the solvent.

Some will if they are smart and dont have a huge load for the day. Perc is used for the big machine, but its not the only one they have at their disposal.

Its real possible the place did hand wash it and used some chems to get the stain out he said was in it and did it by hand if they were smart, if they threw it in the machine, they could be liable regardless of whats written but the lawyer to hire to get the job done isnt worth it.

cause it had a small stain other wise i wouldn't wash it at all, i only wear it for a few hours at a time and i thought it would be better to let professionals handle it. i told them about it, to be careful, and they said no problem. what really pisses me off is that they were just going to let me pay and walk out without telling me. it was very obvious lettering, they had to have known they had done it but they didn't call me or tell me when i got there, like i wouldn't notice or something
:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:Hydrogen Peroxide, dude. i asked before hand, they said they would use soap and water only, I'm sure they did use the solvent though. they told me they could handle the task, i didn't walk in and just drop it off, i had a long conversation where they assured me they could handle the shirt in the proper way

You have to think that professional cleaners have a good amount of customers besides you. So they aren't going to dick around with one, little T-shirt. It's going in with a bunch of other whites.

They probably messed it up on purpose out of spite because you basically wasted their time.

Next time, dude. Small stain = dab of Hydrogen Peroxide.

No, it's your fault that you got Ebenezer screwed.

Or your shirt was really crappy.

they said they followed the instructions, and they are not liable, big run around and all that. i contacted the site, I'm waiting for a reply

I had 2 dress ruined by the cleaners. They melted the bottons off of one and stretched the neckline fabric so bad on the other one that it wouldn't go back in place. I was so mad! When I went in to show them, they said, "Too bad. We're going out of business anyway".

"Ebenezer screwed" - :laugh2:

adding that one to my arsenal.

rkell, I'm reading throughout this thread and I think you're actually the one at fault here. You had no right WHATSOEVER to request your $45 t-shirt (what the hell were you thinking) be treated with more respect than other t-shirts. You were discriminating against the less expensive t-shirts and thought that because you were big and bad and "not calm" when it comes to people messing up your outrageous requests, that the business would just lay down for you and do whatever you wanted. Sorry, but you got what you deserved.

just kidding, that sucks.

It says wash by hand and you took it to the cleaners.

Shirt is pretty ugly either way. They did you a favor.
