So all you have to do if have a plane crash and they can make you into an NFL player...

Yes, but only if you're an astronaut to begin with. Of course, it might work if you're a pilot or a NYC Taxi driver, but I'm not sure.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Not too concerned about it. He was not living up to the hype that some laid out for him on this board.

I too am mystified by the results of T Crawford and B Church with that achilles injury and coming back stronger and faster. Things must of changed with the procedure and recovery from that injury, glad we got some good surgeons connected to the team.

Sorry for the lad.

But what is it about players from the Universe of Texas? they all seem to be either stoopid, soft, head cases or oft-injured.

Another UT player's career down the crapper. What a surprise.

I recall conventional wisdom being he would have been a 4th rounder had he not torn his ACL. Bad luck, genes, or whatever he seems a bit snakebit. Hopefully he can recover. We have been having very good luck with the injury lately. I thought Crawford might've been cooked.

I'm not worried because Bishop, Coleman, and two Crawfords are playing well. If Russell inside is more than a flash in the pan then T McClain of the lower leg injury might see waivers.

They will likely waive him. No team will claim him and then he will revert to IR. At that point they have 5 days (I think it's 5) to give him a settlement or just keep him on IR. If he signed a split contract that pays less if on IR, then there might not be any savings to give him a settlement.

Would you know if that is standard with UFA's contracts?

I'm thinking the same about Terrell McClain. Many folks talk about him as a lock to make the roster, but given that this is the second year his progress and availability have been stymied by injury, I think he needs to get back on the field soon or he could possibly be shown the door.

These roster spots are valuable and you can't be filling them with players who can't contribute.

Hope they put him on IR and give him a chance next year.

I've seen speculation that the Cowboy put it in all UDFA and some later round draft picks contracts, but I don't know that for certain.

Considering that Whaley was known to be out for the year as a rookie, I think they would definitely put it in his contract for year 1 and probably beyond that .

Last year McClain missed a lot of games and while he is a good player he is not a great player, if he is going to be a part time player the door could be shown to him. :hammer:

This is a big set back for a kid that still hadn't recovered from his ACL. I hope he is able to recover and give it another go, but this is alot to come back from now.
