Perhaps it’s question for draft zone but looking at interior line I didn’t see a ton of heavyweights

The guy from Pittsburgh is listed a under 300. What are your thoughts on kalijah kancey?

I’ve been doing some draft simulations and he continues to be there bottom of round 1 so I looked. He seems undersized but they all are barring a couple . I’m down IL and OG being our first 2 picks of Robinson is gone

Mazi Smith would probably be the guy we target at 26. But if we go TE or G/C in the first, maybe Siaki Ika in round 2 if he slides a bit.

Agreed.

Hankins should have had priority over Fowler.

The inside DL needs a lot of work and signing Hankins back makes the defense a lot better.
I totally agree with this post.

Yep, he devours RBs -- you can tell by his waistline. "Get in mah belly!" :muttley:

Apparently RB depth was more important.

This team shows no respect for the DT position.

I just am not feeling TE in first but I’ve seen it mocked

Not a lot of money tied up in that position and we could always use a more complete TE to pair with Ferguson. He’s more of a receiver. But yeah I feel you.

We need Hankins and another big bodied immovable run stopper in the middle, especially we have to compete against Eggles OL and hurts converting 4th and shorts.

Yep and hurry. Draft a good DT and let McClay pick one later he thinks will be good. Wish we kept Ridgeway. He had promise.
anyone with a brain was begging to get rid of Trysten Hill but no…and they ended up finally cutting him a month or so later anyway.

They still would have been in the same position had it gone the other way. Both were released.

Kancey blew up the combine with his 40 and seems to have excellent 3-tech qualities with his burst and ability to get pressure. His size scares me for a DT (6-0, 280) because while we'd like him to be the next Aaron Donald (and he might be), it's rare for DTs that size to dominate like Donald does. It's hard to hold up to those big-bodied offensive linemen unless you just have the ability to leave them flat-footed.

Sign old veteran DT Hankins back and draft DT Gervon Dexter early in the draft. Our D line will be set.

That’s Not necessarily true. They needed to release someone when they released Ridgeway because they needed the roster spot and they thought he wouldn’t get claimed and they could put him on the practice squad which is why he was the one who was waived. Hill was released because he was the least desirable player when Basham came back. There is no guarantee Ridgeway would have been released at that point or if he was that he would have been claimed and not ended up on the PS.

Dallas could already have a verbal agreement with Hankins. They know they have another 11 million coming after June 1, so maybe there’s a gentleman’s agreement while they use current space to look at outside free agents. We are just approaching the part of free agency when we’ve been most active in the past….haha.
