That’s Not necessarily true. They needed to release someone when they released Ridgeway because they needed the roster spot and they thought he wouldn’t get claimed and they could put him on the practice squad which is why he was the one who was waived. Hill was released because he was the least desirable player when Basham came back. There is no guarantee Ridgeway would have been released at that point or if he was that he would have been claimed and not ended up on the PS.
BS, the same thing would have happened, Ridgeway & Hill were the bottom guys on the roster.

I hear they like that kid out of Pittsburgh.
Quinn did pretty well in Atlanta with another 6-0 defensive tackle. Of course, that one didn't cost a first-round pick.

Ridge needed time. I think we gave up on him too soon.
Maybe. I do prefer holding on to drafted players for at least a couple of years because some reach their potential later than others.

Ive heard mixed reports but recent indications are they’re attempting to re-sign him. You gotta think if they lock him up, we’re set for the draft.

I’m holding out hope for Wags and A’Shawn.
Haven’t seen any reports of the Cowboys not wanting to resign him.

Well, he did seem to like to start fights. Not saying you don't want a scrappy player, but there's got to be some self-control. Of course, Williams didn't show a lot of self-control and neither did Joseph, but they both were taken with second-round picks.
