I disagree. The Eagles were 7-2 when Foles went down. Only 2 losses were by less than a touchdown where the Eagles were in the red zone at the very end both times but couldn't punch it in for the win. (at 49ers and at Zona).

Butt Fumble came in after Foles broke his collarbone, they split their next two, then cremated us on Turkey day, then lost 3 in a row (including the one to us), then beat the Giants in a meaningless final game... 10-6 and no playoffs.

The previous year they were 10-6 with playoffs. Only difference was the Cowboys were great in 2014 but 8-8 in 2013.

Sandwich job. Foles was barely OK as a rook(6-5 TD/INT ratio/79.1 QBR. Not great.
His 2nd season was when he broke out w/ his 27-2. That was 2013. In 2014, his 3rd season, he was bad again w/ a 13/10 TD/INT and a 81.4 QBR.

Just because the team won it does not follow that Foles played well.

Here's some quotes for you pertaining to the 14 season in which you claimed he played well:

"Will have to perform better than 2014 to show trading Bradford was the right move."

"Foles actually had sightly worse numbers than Austin Davis last season in the same number of starts, 8. But Foles won because he had better players around him."

If you rate a QB on W/L record alone, you will have many many incorrect evaluations.

Eagles cut their DT who was likely going to cost too much and then immediately get a guy for cheaper who is probably just as good. That's a Patriots move right there. Cut the fat and find someone who is cheaper but just as effective.

Those are backup type numbers and he's a 3T not a 1T like Jernigan. His tape must have really been awful last year. A decent pass rusher should be getting 7+ in an open market.

Remember, Foles 27/2 season was year 1 of Chip Kelly...that caught the league off guard. His gaudy stats were as much the system as it was Nick Foles.

it probably isnt 10M per year. more likely something like 6M, 10M, 14M...until we see the details it's impossible to know if this is in reality something like a 2 year 15M deal.
