Never understood why sexuality is such an important issue in children's books...

Are you talking about Bert and Ernie?

You are talking about Bert and Ernie!

Listen, just because two guys sleep together, it doesn't mean they're gay.

LOL, and i know a guy that would not let his kids watch sesame street because bert and ernie promote homosexuality and big bird is a drug dealer. Ever notice how no one sees snufalufagus but big bird - big bird is stoned 24/7. The dude was serious.

sometimes i wonder, some people just create drama and problems to make life more intresting. If you've got an axe to grind against homosexuality you must not have too much stress in your life, otherwise you wouldnt have the time of day to worry about what everyone else is doing behind closed doors.

I know people say this, and he would do OK, but a) that would be a type-cast and b) it would be difficult to seperate Dumbledore from Gandalf, which isn't fair to either great characters.

I understand why McKellan would want to shy away from playing too many wizard parts, but he would be a huge upgrade as Dumbledore. It fell way off when they had Michael Gambon replace the late Richard Harris, imo. Gambon is a great actor, but I really do not care for the way he plays Dumbledore in 3, 4 and 5. Way too much vitality in the part. I think of Dumbledore as being ancient, with soft, raspy voice (because of Harris and the way it's read in the audio books), so it seems like Dumbledore turned back the clock a few years between Chamber and Azkaban.
