Since big and little are too cheap to field a contender, let’s see what the roster would look like if they got rid of every player making any sort of decent money (trade or cut). Not realistic of course but what the hell

QB Rush
RB they are all cheap
WR Tolbert, Brooks, Flournoy
TE they are all cheap
LT Guyton
LG Smith
C Cooper
RG Bass
RT Richards

DE Sam
DE Kneeland
DT osa
DT mazi
LB Clark
LB Oshown
LB Marist
CB Scott
CB Carson
S Thomas
S Bell

Boom. Done. The Jones’ get what they want. More money for the yacht.

Would that lineup meet the league minimum in cap spending? There is a mandatory minimum.
Interesting , what is cowboy's minimum?

Not that it will be ever that bad , Jerry knows it will be bad for business, he would like to be the team ending up in winning season and playoff mix, not that championships are important.

Not really, teams must spend at least 89% of the cap over a 4 year period. Getting rid of top players would result (probably) in a very poor record, leading to lowered ticket sales, parking fees, concessions, jersey sales, etc. Seriously doubt the owners would have more money than having a good team....

I‘m pretty sure for all NFL teams it is 89% of the cap at minimum for 4 straight years.

No just Dallas we're taking about, we'd do this and Jerry would market this team as the best he's ever seen to make money for himself

What is the penalty if you don’t hit mandatory minimum. I’m just curious, I’m not endorsing we actually do this.
I would guess the difference would be paid to the NFLPA. If you’re that franchise responsible for the league dropping below 95% in any league year I imagine the other 31 ownership groups would be in poor humor.
