this joke of a team essentially got stomped on by the meddling Buccaneers. This team is toast against the Eagles and Rams. Both of those teams reign in important positions (offense, coaching, and less costly penalties) than we ever will hope to achieve.

The Cowboys are overrated because we believe the DVOA rankings after 4 weeks are accurate and say that their opponents mostly suck.

But on the other hand.....

Those same rankings have our Cowboys at #6 which is legitimate contender status.

So which way are we playing this? You either believe in the DVOA rankings or you don't. Can't cherry pick and say the rankings are flawed for some teams and spot on for others.

DVOA has value but a few weeks into the season isn't a big enough cross section. Let's talk after 8 weeks.

And they’ve struggled to score against some dogs….not a good sign.

Most NFL defenses are mediocre outside of the top 5-8 teams. Realistically I don't think there is huge difference between the 14th best defense and the 28th best defense. If I had to guess this just will be a 22-24 ppg offense and we are just going to hope the defense keeps showing up to play.

Theres a third argument:

both Minnesota and Washington’s DVOA rankings would be dramatically higher if they had not played Philadelphia yet. You could make the same argument for Cincinnati and Washington having to play Dallas.

This defense is the best we've had in a long, long time. It can keep us in most any game. The offense is the bigger worry, but are doing just fine lately.
