I know im going to catch hades for saying this but I think Ward was remarkably average as a WR but he did have durability on his side. Plus I never really saw him work this sideline in 1v1 coverage, most of his receptions were on crossing routes and getting open in a trips formation.

Not likely a pro bowler...

I could see him making the ProBowler as a special teamer. Missing games hurt him this year, but not,any players are near the top in the league in punt return average AND lead their team in ST tackles.

Harris is not a dirty player like Ward was.

Amen. I'm an ECU alum and huge DH fan, but would never go as low as to compare him to a Stealer.

Let Dwayne be Dwayne. The man is tough and will rise up when the opportunity presents itself. Humble and hungry!

He is a good WR. Our OC just can't figure out how to use him.

This guy needs to be motioning out of the backfield, slot, all over. Running back, etc. on certain packages. Space is his game. We may never know.

We will never know. No imagination with this offensive staff.

Not for I know, but that is way out of bounds.

Ward and Harris at least a similar qualities. Certainly the manner in which they play the game...and talking about how good they actually are.
Two players could not be more different than Beasely and Irvin.
But the, I'm completely sure you know that.

I'm a big fan of having Harris on the team. He is great special teams players as both a returner and in coverage; however, as a WR he has barely made a mark in the NFL, whereas Hines Ward:
Steelers all time leading WR
4 time pro bowler, Hines Ward
Superbowl MVP, Hines Ward
1,000 career receptions, Hines Ward

If your going to build a team....this is type of guy you want around. Dallas has under-utilized him but with Miles most likely gone I like Harris in 2014 to step up. You really have to like the WR core Dallas has going on right now....but most of that might be neutralized by Romo back and Dallas attempt to prolong his career by controlling pass attempts.

I actually think they under utilize him so that he can be a such a good ST player. he is a dynamic returner, and coverage guy that it keeps him from offensive snaps.

Love this guy. He isn't quite the WR, but he has the edge on special teams. Both of these guys were great on special teams and also the most reliable blocking WR on their team. Tough and reliable. Swiss army knife type players. Its a shame Harris got hurt because he was well on his way to the pro bowl.
tough and reliable followed by shame he got hurt. Ok
