I can't complain, Dawkins was a beast, and almost all his stats when you compare his time in Philly against Woodson's time here surpass Woodson's. Six times All-NFL, nine times all-pro. Only player in NFL history with 25 sacks, 25 ints, and 25 forced fumbles. He might be the hardest hitter of them all--his 42 forced fumbles are more than Reed, Polamalu, Lynch and Harrison combined. Think about that. Dawkins was a beast. I know he was an Eagle for most of his career, but I appreciate good, hard hitting football. He played 183 games with the Eagles, where Woodson played 178 with the Boys. Dawkins stats are practically better across the board. He brought it every game. No need to disparage him. He deserved his induction. Woodson will get there one day too.

So you think Chuck Howley was better than Dick Butkus too? Trent Dilfer, Mary Rypian, and Doug Williams won a Super Bowl, are they better than Tony Romo? How many Super Bowls does Lynn Swann have...would you take him over Witten, Dez or T.O.? The Super Bowl is a team award, not an individual one. This isn't the NBA, where one guy really makes that much of a difference (unless you're Brady).

Accomplishing at a top level in a top of league game does mean something, even if one trips up trying to compare to the NBA and not play on the carpet.

Sorry, but it means more in a sport where a star player is playing both sides of the game for 40 minutes. It should be extremely obvious that in a 5 on 5 game, a single player can impact a game much more than a player in a sport that doesn't require a player to play both sides the game. Coaching is more important in the NFL, but star players rule the NBA.

If one wants to improve the earth, one doesn't first start in a far off galaxy and then cross compare...You still don't see the football on the field...not a basketball, and then judging on success and progress with the football.

First not applying, 11 vs 5.

Nice try but im actually comparing two great players. One has the stats and the hardware, while the other only had the stats. I never said Dawkins doesnt deserve being in the HOF, but its a shame he got in before Woody

But Woodson does not have the stats...?

What Woodson stats are superior to Dawkins?
