He's probably top 15 but that's all he has to be. The fact that he can beat single coverage and the fact that he does have enough speed to make a deep route will prove to be far more than what PC brings to the table at the #2 spot.

This is going to help TO, the running game, Witten, the works.

Neither, YET! This trade reminds me of a situation in Bigg Davis. When the Cowboys got Bigg he was a bust and was over-rated. The Cowboys paid him too much. Well, everybody was wrong. Bigg is a bad ***.

Anybody that plays for Detroit and Arizonia will never win and until they leave they will suck, ie.... Davis, Thomas Jones and now Roy Williams.

Only huge difference is that Davis didn't cost us multiple draft pick. I am ok w/ the trade, but he has only been able to play 16 games for one season and his stats for his career aren't worthy of what we gave up for him. Still w/ our offense he may put up big numbers.

WR 84 Crayton, Patrick REC 19 YDS 291 AVG 15.3 TDS 2 DAL

WR 11 Williams, Roy REC 17 YDS 232 AVG 13.6 TDS 1 DET

It's pretty dumb IMO that they wouldn't try to improve in two different ways, one by improving their own WR core, plus, keeping RW away from us. They have the ammo and should have done something.

Don't forget Jay Novacek, Simeon Rice and Garrison Hearst.

Not to mention, Roy's already made a Pro Bowl. His criticism isn't so much that he isn't good, but that he's not as good as he "should" be.

Again, nobody can win in Detroit!

from what i've read recently DeSean jackson still has a lot to prove. He's not running the right routes, etc. An article I read said McNabb basically stopped throwing it to him after he busted another route.

They badly needed a TE though. LJ Smith sucks wind. Gonzo would have been a HUGE upgrade.

Agreed. I think this is a situation where they were putting their real focus at. Oh well I don't feel bad for them, at all.

but they don't have a #1 and I'm pretty sure we can all agree RW > Reggei Brown....

Agreed. Without a doubt.

Really we gave up a 1 and a 3. Since you essentially trade the 6 for a 7.

Poor Eagles fans. They should be ticked. They should have picked up Williams or Gonzo, if not both. Just one alone would have made that offense far more formidable, and given them a much needed upgrade by providing them with a big target in the end zone.

Their front office is ridiculously cheap.

I think Philly needs the draft picks more than Dallas does. They typically draft well to replace age, but I still think they are getting old in critical areas, like LB and OL.

But they already have 2 #1's and 2 #2's, plus an unhappy Lito. Pt being that a mere #3 would have done the trick, as their first day picks alone would have filled all their voids next year.

Philly just doesn't want to do anything to help McNabb get a real WR out there. That's their problem and a good thing for us.

I'll take this any day, purely because the thought of McNabb throwing to Jackson AND RW really is scary, not to mention the incredible headache for us that is Westbrook.

Yep. This deal is made sweeter, IMO, cause it not only helped us for not only this year but years to come and it also kept a really good player out of the hands of a division rival.

I can only imagine what Danny Boy is doing now seeing that Jerry Jones has brought in TO and RW and he did everything he could in the offseason to land a WR splash and couldn't get it done.

I live outside Philly and listen to wip610. After the Cowboys land WR Roy Williams, fans were calling in very upset with the Eagles organization for not getting Roy Williams after the Eagles made a call to Detroit to see what interest there was in a trade for RW's.

The price was just to step for the Eagles!

The Eagles also called KC for the services of TE Tony Gonzo. The asking price ranged from a third rounder to a 2nd and a 5th.

The price was to step for the Eagles!

BTW, the Giants were the second of six teams that called on Gonzo with no deal to be made.

Can't wait for tomorrow as WIP's morning show will be going off that the Cowboys improved and the Eagles stayed idle!

I hate it for them.

Honestly, how are you going to say they're cheap. I mean didn't they just give a big deal to Asanate Samuel? Maybe they didn't want to give too much away and just go after Boldin or another WR when the seasons over.

Eagles Linebackers are young (Gaither, Bradley, Gocong)

They do need replacements for Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan. We'll see if Winston Justice will prove himself. However, they're still going to draft a bunch of lineman.

Why didn't they use that money to sign a Randy Moss on FA day 1, especially if they knew they were going to keep Lito?

Boldin ain't gonna come cheap to them-unless they're prepared to fork over a #1 + another pick and/or another player, they can forget about it.
