DPI should be a 15 yard penalty.
I like this idea. Making DPI a spot foul assumes the receiver would make the catch even if he was not interfered with.

Making it 15 yards is a good compromise between assuming a catch and penalizing the defense.

It also will allow the officials to call dpi when it occurs on a hail Mary without having to put the ball on the 1.

So I have dug into this a bit and actually get a lot of Eagles games here. So I've gone back and watched these and slowed them down.

People's eyes play tricks on them because they often look for the QB to move to acknowledge the snap of the ball but by rule, once the OC starts moving it, the OL can move. And if you watch, a lot of times, Johnson actually starts his move as Kelce starts his snap, so technically not a false start.

That being said, there are times he clearly moves first. There were a couple in the Chiefs game, I believe, where I went back and Kelce hadn't even moved and Johnson was dropping back. The reality is Johnson and Kelce have it timed really well and it works so I wonder if the refs just assume it's legit because they typically pull it off.
Nailed it.

On social media, I'll see clips of his false starts as "proof" that he always false starts-- but, as you've stated, that's not really the case. It only happens sometimes and the refs overlook it because it's usually fine.

They are definitely getting the benefit of the doubt because they are viewed as a top OL. It's also probably why they don't get called for holding much.

I wonder if that perception will start to change following these last few games.

Unfortunately, they aren't losing at home to the Giants.

The Giants blow. They just got thumped by a mediocre Saints team. Slim playoff hopes dashed.
It's unlikely that the Giants win on the road @ PHI, but the Saints have a terrific pass defense and were a bad match-up for them because of it.

You never know with these divisional games.

Lots of offenses were easily able to move the ball up and down the field on the Seahawks defense and score a bunch of points on them. That should have translated to the Eagles offense using a bad Seahawks defense to "get right." Yet they still couldn't even score 20 points. Now if they don't blow out the Giants like they are expected to do and win ugly against them or lose outright, it will really be panic time in Philly.
