Eagles are similar to 2016 Cowboys but better

The Eagles are much better than our 2016 team. Their defense is currently ranked fourth and our 2016 team was ranked 13th in defense. Plus Jalen Hurts has a lot more experience than Dak in 2016. Hurts is beginning to come into his own. Although the 2016 Cowboys ranked fifth offensively, which is the same ranking that Philly has this season their passing offense is a lot more productive than our passing offense was in 2016. Hurts is on pace for over 4000 yards. Their team is more seasoned with experience. The Cowboys had several rookies they were counting on in 2016.
Give me a break!!! Who have they played besides us and Minni?? Both at home.

Minnesota has lost only one game all season and it was a blowout loss to Philly. Lol The Cowboys have lost two games all season and were getting blown out by Philly 20-0 at one point. Dude Philly has beaten everyone on their schedule so far and is 8-0. They’ve beaten two of the best teams in the NFC. There’s a lot of parody in the NFL, every week is tough. Who have the Cowboys beaten? Both Cincinnati and the Rams are having down years. We got blown out by Tampa and they’re having a down year. The best team the Cowboys have beaten so far are the Giants. You can’t just keep using the excuse who have they beaten while they’re continuing to rack up wins. Anyone who doesn’t think Philly has a terrific team this season is in denial.

Eagles have the easiest schedule I have ever seen. That 8-0 record is not that impressive. They have all the so called hard out of conference games at home. Came out of bye with Pitt and Houston. We come out at Green Bay and Minnisota. There only impressive win was over us with our back up QB.

Vikings was a good win being they are 6-1

You just repeated the same post twice. Would you be saying the same thing if the Cowboys were sitting at 8-0? Lol

The iggles are facing an onslaught of steel #2 shor headed their way. They will burn themselves out towards the end of the season.

They will be one and done in the playoffs.

They barely beat the Texans. The consequences of a soft schedule will come to fruition soon.

8-0 so credit to them. However, when looking at their schedule what is so impressive? There’s no doubt in my mind that we can beat them. Struggled for most of game vs a really bad Texans team. Beat Lions by 3. Beat us at home by 9 vs our backup (gift-wrapped 3 INTs too). Vikings is a good win but got Cousins in prime-time where he struggles. Commanders. Jags. Steelers are bad. Cardinals had big injuries and haven’t looked like a strong team.

This is the weakest the NFC has been in a long while. Green Bay, Tampa and Rams severely struggling and they were the class of the NFC last year. Eagles are pretty good but with the comp this year their record is relative IMO.

The Eagles underachieve on defense. With the personnel they have, that defense should be top-five across the board. But I have never been a fan of their defensive coordinator, Gannon. I think he holds them back with poor schemes during games. This is one of two reasons I don't believe the Eagles will go far in the playoffs (Hurts is the other reason). If he Eagles had the equal of Jim Johnson running the defense, I would give them a chance against any team. Jonathan Gannon is three tiers below a Jim Johnson.

Agree, JJ was a h—- of a DC without a doubt.

So far the Eagles have been fortunate with injuries. They lost Derek Barnett to injury and Jordan Davis will miss at least 4 weeks. But other than that they have been pretty healthy. If that good fortune continues they will be very tough to beat because the teams they face won't be as healthy.

The Cowboys have been missing guys every week. Tyron is out, now Lewis for the season. But they have lost other key keys here and there, like Dak, Malik Hooker, Zeke, Schultz, Basham, Farniok, and Barr might miss some time. The Cowboys have a lot more depth this year at certain positions than they have in the past. But losing all these players and still winning is pretty good. There was a time when Tyron got hurt the Cowboys offense fell apart.

I'll be honest, I do not see the similarities between the Eagles Offense and the 2016 Cowboys. Eagles want to be pass happy and that team had a great running game with Murray.
2016 had Zeke

2014 team had Murray.

They can't be decimated by injuries every season we play them.........time to man up and go to Philly and stop the talking and start winning games like this!

The Eagles I regret to say will probably be in the NFCCG with a chance of going to the SB.
NFC is weak this season.....

The Eagles don't remind me of the 2016 Dallas Cowboys. They remind me of the 2021 Dallas Cowboys. No one expected us to do anything last year and then we rattled off an impressive win streak. The Eagles will more than likely be the best regular season team then lose in the playoffs. Just like us last year. Or the Cardinals last year. The Eagles are good but they're vulnerable to the run. We and the 49ers are a bad matchup for them. I've said this before but if the Eagles start the season with their WR2 out, LT out, QB get injured for 6 weeks would they be undefeated. I doubt it. When we played the Eagles we were beat up injury wise. We're getting healthier.

To quote Dennis Green, "if you want to crown them, then crown them". I'm believing we beat them on Christmas eve and in the playoffs.

Can't remember now which Eagles player said it but, "It's like being on an all-star team". I still think Dallas on their best day can beat them.

We can beat the Eagles. No doubt they're good. But they're overrated just a tad.
Most power list have them at second behind Buffalo… That seems to be pretty fair to me… Not sure how they’re overrated?

I hope they finish 12 and five then… I won’t hold my breath though

The Eagles remind me of the 2016 Cowboys team but better. Good RPO QB who's, a threat to run, and hard to bring down. Which helps the running game by keeping the defense guessing. The QB is a decent passer who makes timely throws and has a lot of time due to the running threat. They have a good Oline. AJ Brown is their Dez Bryant. Good TE play. I think there defense is a little better than what the Cowboys had. They also seem to have a better coaching staff. They will be tough to beat this season.
And this year the NFC is weak and wide open.
