Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts insists the injuries he's picked up over the past two seasons aren't related to his specific style of play.

"I don’t know that I’ve ever been banged up as a runner," Hurts explained on Wednesday, according to Dan Gelston of The Associated Press. "Everything comes from within the pocket. The illusion is — or the narrative is — that we run the ball. That’s not always the case. Not here."
Hurts missed back-to-back games late in the 2022 regular season with a sprained throwing shoulder that bothered him throughout the playoffs and later had offseason surgery on his left ankle. After Hurts and the Eagles agreed to a five-year contract extension reportedly worth up to $255M with $179.3M guaranteed, both he and head coach Nick Sirianni said that the 25-year-old wouldn't change how he plays. That was before the signal-caller was spotted wearing a left knee brace in the second half of this past Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins.

We'll just see if injury catches up to him as it did being a runner for Dak Prescott...

That is simply unheard of at the midway point of an NFL season, and it's the cleanest injury report the Cowboys have reported, literally, in the past decade or more (at the very least).

Better still is that lone player who is listed, namely safety Juanyeh Thomas, was a full participant in his return from a hamstring injury that sidelined him in Week 6 against the Chargers. Thomas is now back to form in time to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon, and literally every other player on the active roster who was previously dealing with injury is now fully healthy.

This is especially key for the offensive line, where Tyron Smith (knee), Tyler Biadasz (ankle) and Zack Martin (thigh) were all battling ailments following the return of Tyler Smith (knee) from injury in Week 3. This weekend will mark the third consecutive game in which all five of the Cowboys' starting offensive linemen will be on the field, but the first time they've all been truly healthy.

One at a time...but here eagles, eagles, eagles!

If the 49ers were to lose Deebo, McCaffery, and Williams, they very well might not win the West.
CMC played last week and is fully back at practice. Neither deebo nor Trent Williams are season ending injuries. They are more like a couple weeks and then the bye. Sf just playing it smart with extra healing time.

No it's the same as it was before the season. Eagles were thought to be leaders in the division and they have confirmed that lead so far this year. I expect the trend of splitting games to continue with them.

He was having trouble on the flight back. Could explain the 2 wild picks he threw at the end of the Vikings game.

Now Sunday is Sam Darnold vs the Cincinnati Bengals. Lucky for them they have a bye afterward. But we may be going into that Dallas-Philly with the 49ers at 3 losses.

I’m not sure if it places anymore importance than it already has . Unless the Cowboys can win our division I don’t give us much chance to advance deep into the playoffs needing consecutive wins on the road to advance.

Who’s to say Dallas and Phil won’t lose their QB’s for a few games like they did last year as well. There’s still a long season to go.

And we shouldn’t take the Lions out of the home field equation either as they have easiest schedule of all of the teams with better records in NFC.

I already have the Egirls as top team in NFC after beating Miami. And until someone knocks them off they are the team everyone is chasing , not SF.

What's your point?????? The Cowboys are still the same team that got rolled by the 9ers and they'll get rolled by a few more teams in the NFL this year because we have the same overpaid, over hyped, less than mediocre QB leading this team.

But they aren't. So until that's even a remote likelihood why are we playing the if game. For now sf is still the big favorite to with their division aren't they?

I'm talking about future injuries. They certainly will get some just like everybody else.

They may or may not come. Especially for those three you mentioned. We can only deal with certainty and not hypothetical scenarios. Sure if they lose those three they might not win their division. But as it stands right now the eagles game didn't get MORE important. It always was the most important on our schedule cause if we don't win the division we would play either phi or SF on the road.

What gets me is their coach is playing with fire with the constant tush push play.

We've heard that for nearly 30 years.

And this one will end the same way.
The only thing really true with your comment is that YOU will never enjoy the game of the Cowboys with your sole possession being gloom and doom....Enjoy!

That has been your chosen dream for your 30 years, certainly not mine. For now, I'm watching my three years now, with view of this team and their real talent. Not a fear of failure!!
