So you think this Cowboys team would beat the Ravens in a postseason game? I don't.
That’s fine, just realize Dallas would be the Vegas favorite in that game if it were played right now. It’s you who is taking the position not favored by the data, not me.
Until they prove they can actually show up in January, I think it's foolish to just assume they can beat anyone. I am at the prove it stage with these guys. There's no reason to have faith in them.
I’m not superstitious and don’t believe games played in years past, and many DECADES past, have any impact on the outcome this year. Aaron Rodgers completing a prayer to beat us in 2016, and Patrick Crayton dropping that pass in 2007, have no impact on this season. No matter how much you believe Jerry’s aura makes it so.
Dallas will either succeed or fail in the playoffs this year and it will have nothing to do with last year.
And I'd bet a heavy sum of money you claimed there is no way Jimmy G would beat us in January and yet he did.
You’d be wrong, but it’s also irrelevant
Purdy doesn't have to be great for the 49ers to beat us.
Given SF can’t see us until at least the divisional round, and probably the NFCCCG, Brock Purdy would have fewer career starts than any QB who has ever won a divisional round or later playoff game. Historically rookie QBs are AWFUL in the playoffs. For perspective, Dak’s 2016 game against Green Bay was the second best playoff game by a rookie QB in league history. I’ll take those odds.
He only has to be decent, at best. They are that good around him - can run the ball (our weakness), can stop the run, can rush the passer, better coached, etc.
The team with the better QB wins about 80% of the time in the NFL playoffs. Playoff runs are a combination of luck, defense and QB play/passing efficiency.
