Don Mattingly, signed a contract for X years (not sure how many or how much). After winning the batting tittle a year later, a reporter asked him if he would be seeking more money from George.

He said "Why should I, I signed the contract. I honor what I sign". he then gave the reporter a look I'll never forget, like the guy was from Mars or something.

Was that really only 15-20 years ago or so ?

Taxi squad, ever hear of where that term comes from ? Hank Strahm. Know the story, I bet some one here does.

I know someone will say times are different now. But are they really ? 40 years ago 90% of the people who watch sports scratch together a living to make ends meet. Today, 90% of the people who watch sports scratch together a living to make ends meet. Anyone want to tell me what has changed over 40 years.

Agreed, if i was paid 10% of what TO gets paid, after 2 years i could stop working make a few smart investments and never have to work again.
