Eagles LT Jason Peters tore his ACL and MCL Monday night against Washington.

There was some hope he was just dealing with an MCL injury, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed the extent of the damage. It is a massive blow to the Eagles' offensive line which may require them to move RT Lane Johnson to the left side. Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who filled in for Peters Monday night, is the other option. 36 in January, it is fair to wonder if Peters has played his final snap.

The dropoff from Peters to Lane is huge, especially for a team that passes as much as they do. Remember they have NO running game ....

This issue isn't the drop off from Peters to Johnson. Johnson can play LT. They drafted him to be the LT when Peters was done. The issue is whomever plays the other OT spot (they might not move Johnson at all).

I think you overstate how bad their running game is. They are third in the league in yards per game and 9th, I believe, in yards per carry. They are not that anemic running the ball.
