Yep Evans is another one. You sign Evans for his tackling though not coverage skills.
Imo In today's passing era and spread offenses, you cannot have one dimension LBs that get exposed.
That limits your defense, that limits Evans.

Pure Tackling comes up most in special teams coverage. (If it does not involve grabbing face masks.)

You need to be able to cover these days. And guys that can impact the run game and cover are not easy to find

I can’t spell his stupid last name! Just glad his dad is a Cowboys fan! Haha
It's about time he needs to change his name to Cesspool. I mean Philly by now.

But, but, but. Some of the zone draft nicks said we should have drafted Dean in the first round and he is better then any linebacker on our roster.

Don’t forget Dallas G out for a month minimum.
That is huge. Also, for some reason they continue to put Hurts in harms way. The odds on Hurts making it to the end of season are slim. Hurts and Kelce can be hurt seriously every time they run the tush push.

If you are being completely honest with yourself, you would know that that’s not true.

Hurts may be dealing with a knee issue this year, but it’s not because of the tush push

What you just said may happen, but it’s really nothing more than wishful thinking. Just try to keep it real

Not sure this really affects him.

So far....been kind of a bust for them.

As good as they are at drafting O and D linemen...they seem to suck at drafting LBers

Not sure what your point is. Yes… He came into this season with expecting to be the starting LB and call the D plays. He got hurt early in the year and missed multiple games. When he returned, he didn’t exactly light it on fire.

I had hopes for him, but they were cautiously optimistic. There’s a reason he dropped in the draft. He played very well in Georgia surrounded by all those guys, but he’s undersized.

This injury is not like the Eagles losing Jalen Carter or Hasan Reddick on D…it’s not even close to being in the neighborhood. It does affect their depth, however… But nothing much more than that.
So he is basically your Damone Clarke?

Fun name, but kind of just there when he is on the field

We had a LB in for a work out that the Eagles drafted in the 3rd in 2020 and no one knew who he was

It isn't wishful thinking. I think it is stupid what they are doing.
