Kind of similar to the Cowboys with McGovern. I bet the Eagles think they can upgrade the spot.

Is there a running list of how many starters they’ve lost this off-season?

Sucks they were able to bring Slay back.
TJ Edwards - 1st in tackles and starting LBer
Kyzir White - 2nd in tackles and starting LBer
Marcus Epps - 3rd in tackles and starting safety - most defensive snaps on team
Javon Hargrave - 5th in tackles and starting DT. Tied for 2nd on team with 11 sacks
Isaac Seumalo - starting right guard
Miles Sanders - starting RB and 5th most rushing yards in league last year

Still have not signed their starting safety Chauncey Gardner Johnson. He had the 4th most tackles for them last year. If they lose him then they lose their top 5 tacklers from last year.

Also, lost depth on the OLine by losing swing tackle Andre Dillard.

CGJ is crucial. If they lose him, the secondary may take a step back.

Kelce was pretty much cemented as their starter at Center and was in his prime. 79th pick seems a bit high to be taking a backup!

Yea good point. I wasn’t following them that closely… I think they sucked big-time that year.

I gotta say, nobody can spin a situation smoother than Aero.
Well he’s not wrong. The kid they got in the second round last draft is an interior OL. They probably start him at right guard and move him over to C next year… if Kelce ever retires.

I’m sure that’s the plan anyway, the only time I’ve seen the second rounder at all, was when a clip went viral of their 5000 pound rookie DT manhandling him lol.

They lost 2 of their OL and 4 or 5 defensive starters. I think they brought 2 starters back.
They’ve lost
Offence
RG1. Replaced by 22 2nd rounder
RB1

Defence

I didn’t realize they lost Sanders, who did he sign with.
I thought they lost 2 OL, pretty sure, maybe one was a back up. Or maybe the other OL was talking to a team and was misreported.

To Carolina. Just coming across the wire, Detroit signed the Eagles Safety 1

Can't pay everyone, as we know from experience.

Yep
But with 2 first rounders and plenty more after that, they can look to the draft to restock
Bijan would be an upgrade from Sanders, for example

Losing Sanders was no big deal. He’s not very good. Philly losing CGJ to Detroit is a much bigger deal. That hurts them.

I’d have rather kept CGJ and let Slay go, who isn’t nearly as valuable anymore. I don’t know why they did that.

They lost one of Howie’s first round flops, OT Dillard too, along with Seumalo. He sucked and was just their swing tackle.

Dillard is in the Wentz, Reagor, Barnett, Agholor category. It was from back before Howie realized he couldn’t draft and to just draft stars from SEC schools instead and hope.

I think he was their weakest OL but still have to replace a starter. Losing Gardner Johnson is big. But the biggest thing they have to deal with is losing the OC and DC.

Eagles took DT, iOL, ILB in the first 3 rounds last year. Those are the guys replacing what we lost. Hargrave was a big one, but TJ Edwards and Seumalo weren’t exactly irreplaceable cogs

Eagles roster has been completely decimated on defense. Hurts will need another MVP season if they’re gonna stay atop the East.
