We gave up a 2025 4th and paid him 1m$ for a thousand yard season

And now he signed for the same contract that Miles just got us a 5th round comp for. A 5th round comp that’ll be in the same 2025 draft.

This is a good signing for the Bears. Tough runner.
why is it good? They have no QB, so why waste free agent money on a RB. Since they are taking a qb 1st in the draft, wouldnt it make more sense to load up on the Oline and WR to give the new qb the best shot at success? What good is spending that kind of money on a RB for a bottom feeder team?

Not a great deal for Chicago. Swift has game, but has always struggled with staying healthy, so he's a guy who's best used in a committee. $8M/yr for a committee back feels pretty rich.

Comes down to what one thinks of Fields. I’m not a fan either.

They are faced with a career decision, and will be an interesting one. My guess is they trade the pick.

They have a ton of cap space and will likely end up with a ton of draft capital. That division is shaping up to be tough.

of course we wait until all the big signings happen. there will be rumors that cowboys are talking to generate headlines. fans go into frenzy, and then nothing. Jerry will say we tried, but it was going to handicap us, then we will sign a bunch of low end, left overs and make one big name signing that's reasonably priced (make jersey sales of course).

typical cowboys off season.

They have the #1 over all pick and they're gonna get compensation for trading Fields. They also pick in the top of the 2nd round so any run on QBs or WRs will push O line to them. This is a good signing.
