I remember hearing stuff like this when Washington signed Bruce Smith and Deion in Free Agency. Was the end of the world.

I know it's not the same but it rarely works out the way you think. Injuries, under performance all that stuff can happen.
Washington has been struggling to find a QB ever since Mark Rypien led them to their last championship in 1991.

An NFC East Rival is a major problem for years?

NO WAY!

If you look back at the record against them the last few years you will realize we are a major problem for them as well.
we do win more games in the playoffs tho, also giants and the r-e-d-s-k-n-i-ns have been easy pickings for the cowboys for 15 years.

You peaked my curiosity and made me look.

Unless you find something different, over the last 22 years (since 2000) the cowboys have been left in the dust. Heck, start at 1995 and they're still left in the dust.

Now, go back to 1970 and do the totals, and you'll see the Cowboys at the very top.

There is a reason why Landry and Johnson are in the NFL hall of fame. The only reason why Jerry Jones is in there is because he makes the league money.

Most Nfc weak but sucks for us the Eagles are so good.
well, anytime a team does well people always say, they are going to be a dynasty. eagles are good, deep roster, but soon comes the bills that will be due. and when you succeed, teams tend to raid your coaching staff, and under rated part of any organization. its rare to have a team stay atop, and most of those who do have elite, generational type QBs, ala KC. does it mean they won't be good? other good teams have good FO that do good in draft and FA and can manage the roster well, which is something Eagles have done. eagles having 2 first round picks certainly helps, but they also lost some key pieces of last years team. they were only one game better than cowboys. and there were three playoff teams in NFC east. it won't be easy for them. they improved. but so did cowboys and giants.

I also disagree. NFC east is not weak.

You're right. This "major problem" talk has been going on forever. In a league of parity it doesn't work that way. The only exceptions are the teams with dominant/elite qbs. When you have a Peyton Manning/Tom Brady/Rodgers/Mahomes type you stay relevant for the duration.

When was the last time the NFCE has had a repeat winner? I'm not more worried about the Eagles than I am the Giants or Washington. Really the only team I worry about is Dallas. If they play to their potential they'll be in the mix. Let's see how the first month or two goes. The Eagles lost a lot of players and I want to see Hurts do it twice before I think he is the QB he was last year.

One thing I will say is Philly got a huge break with the first place schedule. The two first place teams are Minnesota and Tampa. Is that significantly harder than the last place schedule of Chicago and Atlanta? Most years it's a huge difference.

But Philly has a 5 game stretch of Dallas, KC, Buffalo, 49ers, Dallas. That's tough
