Don't know why Philly will 'implode' with a win by Dallas Sunday night.
Eagles would be 5-1 with the Cowboys (and possibly the Giants).
Will have to go through their bye week with the loss...but return to action hosting the Steelers the last Sunday in October.
Still will be 11 games each over almost 3 months for the NFCE rivals to determine the division winner.
I was referring to their fan base. They will implode all week long if they lose.

I would disagree with that.

A win, and Dallas is in first place with the Lions and Bears next.

A loss, and the Cowboys fall two (and a half) games behind the Eagles, who will have a stranglehold on the division.

a lot of ways to look at this. House money in that it’s in Philly and we are starting a backup qb. The next meeting will be in Dallas with Prescott starting ( I assume ) . Most of the media has a win penciled in for the Eagles because of the things I mentioned as well as the improvements they’ve made in the off season.

after beating both SB teams and both NFC East division opponents, the Cowboys should be loose for this game. I can easily see Moore turning the Red Rocket loose. I think the offensive conservative playbook goes out the window this game and Moore gets proclaimed the boy genius again

They will only have a stranglehold if they're actually a good team. Which frankly has yet to be proven. If they can boat race the Cowboys then we can have that conversation. If they eke out a close win over a team with a backup QB at the helm then they will have proven nothing except that they are (slightly) better than the Cowboys with their backup QB at the helm. They will still have the psychological disadvantage of having failed to get within 20 points of the Cowboys the last two times they've played with Dak at the helm. Anything short of a double digit win for them this Sunday comes with a "yeah but..." Plain and simple.
If they win and I don't think the Eagles will, but if they win they don't have a stranglehold on anything. I agree with you, they havent proven to be a good team yet. I feel the fans and the media are acting like this is the NFCCG or something. This is the 6th game of the season. We still have 11 games left after Sunday. If the Eagles win, which I doubt, then they have beaten a team playing their backup QB and has several other injuries. But there's still 11 games left and we play them again in our house. A lot of football left after this week.

I've been expecting losses in every game, especially with a backup quarterback playing. I'm not about to change my expectations now and have a loss actually happen and devastate me. These last few weeks have been fun. (OK, full disclosure, I wasn't completely expecting a loss against Washington because the Commodores are just a bad team.)
Yes a bad football team but a pretty good band

No doubt many of them will...but that's par given their Dallas Cowboys obsession.
The rational Eagles fans (there are some) will get over the loss because -
(1) roughly 2/3rds of the season left after Sunday night - NFCE title is up for grabs
(2) PHL has a game @ DAL Xmas Eve

Losing to a divisional rival which would be tied as a result wouldn’t be a fraud. Unbelievable the narratives.

Depends on how the game plays out. If Jalen Hurts struggles with the improved offensive roster he has or gets outplayed by Cooper Rush even in the slightest way for the Eagles to lose the game, then there will at least be local questions about Jalen Hurts, especially if he has trouble beating certain defensive looks that Dan Quinn is going to give him. Then Hurts will still have yet to beat the Cowboys and Philly fans aren't going to be happy that he couldn't beat the Cowboys backup QB at home.

Some Eagles fans and media are starting to frame Hurts beating the Cowboys, as something he needs to do to step up and prove he can be the long term QB for their franchise.

For all the scared and trembling Cowboy fans; McCarthy and Quinn will have the team ready. These players don't have a losers mentality like their fanbase, so watch and enjoy.

Right.

This is an all-hands-on-deck game.

We need everyone ready.

It doesn't matter who wins this game, imo. It matters who wins the next one.

That said, I hope we win this game.

Yeah Hurts is quick, strong and agile but not really fast. I doubt he could beat Daniel Jones in a footrace. He IS a good athlete though and is improving as a passer. But you still want to force him to beat you from the pocket as opposed to letting him run around and make plays.
I get it. The Iggles have regrouped some. Their GM was aggressive. But many forget this Iggles team is still quarterbacked by the same guy we have had success against.

We know this team. It will be a hard fought game. But this year’s defense is different year two under Dan Quinn. And I mean in a good way.

You keep beating this drum I'm beginning to think you have the psychological disadvantage of not realizing that the last time we played the Eagles they sat all their starters.
The Eagles made moves in the off-season and added talent to their team They are not the same team we played last year.

Without DAks mobility at quarterback our offensive line could struggle with their pass rush.
Luckily for us they're offensive line is a bit banged up and I think will struggle with our pass rush but they have a much more mobile quarterback. They are also a good running team and we are not the best at stopping the run.
Jalen hurts has improved as a quarterback and this is not last year's Eagles.
This is an important game in a hostile environment to say the least and it will be no cake walk no matter how much we beat them by last year it means nothing this year
