Eagles open as 3 1/2 point favorite vs Cowboys

3 1/2 points, is that all? Based on the Thanksgiving day game, I'm surprised it's not more.

it should be noted that 3.5 isnt a bad thing. you are awarded that simply for being the home game. vegas sees this as a wash.

that said, the pressure is on both teams, but the eagles hold first place so its a little bit more on them. we should be happy we aren't the front runners going into this stretch run. how did that work out from 11-13?

We will win if we stop McCoy,not sure we have the LBs to stop him though.

A 33-10 loss to a bunch of sissies because our team was sleepy? Nope, the iggles whipped our butt good... fair and square. Time for some payback!

Nope, Romo played horribly. It only looked like it was a total team beatdown because the QB position is so integral. Romo played bad, the offense couldn't stay on the field and exposed the defense to many more offensive plays from the Eagles. It's all linked. As such, Romo playing much better (he obviously will) will have a trickle down effect on the entire game and we'll win convincingly.

Deense is going to have to find a way to create 3rd and longs and then make the stops on 3rd downs. If that means completely selling out, so be it. I think we've seen enough to know we can't stop this offense rushing 4 DL with zone on the back end. We'll systematically get picked apart.

The Eagles have been taken behind the woodshed a few times this season. I hope we return the favor after the Turkey Day fiasco.

I really think they will. This team has had this game circled since Thanksgiving. They know the importance, they play better away from home. The Eagles rubbed their faces in it on Thanksgiving. Embarrassed them, taunted them. I think this team will be ready to get it done.

Keys to beating Philly:

1. Tackle well. No missed tackles
2. Contain McCoy. Stay in your gaps
3. Hit Sanchez again and again and again and again even after he releases the ball.
4. Play man and be physical with receivers. This is a 'precision' offense so if we throw the receiver off their route or affect their timing, it throws everything off
5. No special team scores allowed.

Simple :D

Nope, just have to reduce their number of plays. We've got a team that is built to do just that. We just need a fresher Romo. We'll have that this time around.

We also need the defense that showed up against Seattle. I swear, the way they swarmed to the ball and played contain all day made me actually think they were good.
