Redskins, hope the Eagles get slapped around
Feed em beans
If we gotta worry about other teams we dont deserve playoffs
I always want Philly to lose.
Eagles... Dallas gets to play Philly next week in order to potentially hand them a loss. Plus, the Eagles still have the Rams and Texans I believe. Dallas is done with the Skins so all the loses they can get I'd be cool with.
That would tie them with Dallas in the division and little wiggle room for a loss.
We need Philly to win
Even though the Redskins have a backup QB, its not like they were winning games because of Alex Smith.
They were winning with their run game and defense.
We can end Phillys season next week if we take care of business.
The Redskins have the Giants at home which most likely is a W
In this scenario:
Dal: 8-5 (4-1)
Was: 7-6 (3-2)
Phi: 6-7 (3-2)
Nyg: 4-9 (0-5)
If Philly wins and beats us, they are in first:
Phi: 7-6 (4-1)
Dal: 7-6 (3-2)
Was: 7-6 (3-2)
Nyg: 4-9 (0-5)
We would be in 2nd only because we beat the Aints and Falcons
This is correct.
While logically you would think rooting for the team that lost their starting quarterback for the season would be best in the long run, you always want to to focus on what you can control. Since the Redskins and Cowboys split the two games they played against each other, its a more complicated path to winning the division should the Cowboys and Redskins end up tied after 16 games. Since the Cowboys beat the Eagles already and still have one game to play against them, they control their tie-breaker advantage right now against the Eagles.
Now, in future hindsight, should the Eagles beat the Redskins and then beat the Cowboys, it would have been better had the Redskins won their game against the Eagles.
However, if the Cowboys and Redskins win out, it would have been better for the Eagles to beat the Redskins which is why its better for the Eagles to win, despite how wrong that sounds.
The bottom line is that if the Eagles beat the Redskins, then the Cowboys beat the Eagles, the Cowboys would have a 2 game advantage on the Eagles (+1 game and the head-to-head tie-breaker) and a 1 game advantage over the Redskins with a better division record for the second tie-breaker.
The Giants will be eliminated from the division with one more Cowboys win, two more Redskins wins and/or 3 more Eagles wins and that's assuming the Giants win out.
Agreed. Plus skins with colt less of a threat than philly with wentz.
Can they both lose lol
... and, a gas main explosion in the stadium!
I understand the situation,it’s just Was doesn’t worry me as much as Philly does,so I want them eleminated as quickly as possible. They always get those little runs back into the mix of things, and I kinda like the sound of us ending their season next week.
I would rather the Redskins win tomorrow.
Better if Philly wins because the Skins remaining schedule is easy. I’d say a Skins win tomorrow assures them at least a 9-7 record, with 10 wins a real possibility.
The good thing is that we’re in position for a wild card even if the Skins win the division.
Skins win this week, we win next week, giants lose next week.......philly and giants are done.
The eagles can ruin the skins season in week 17.
I thought that Eagles hero McNabb dispelled that tie myth?
A Philly win. Philly will lose to LA and Houston after they face us. Need WSH to have that second division loss. We'll take care if Philly.
With Phi win tomorrow
Dal win next week
WSH wins vs Giants:
This would give us a two game lead with WSH having 2 division losses and 3 games left.
My dream scenario is Phily beats Wash, Wash wins all the rest and finish 10-6.
We win out and finish 11-5 and take the #3 seed.
We play Wash in divisonal round while the Bears take on the Seahawks.
Eagles, then if we beat them next week we'll have a 2 game lead + tiebreaker witj 3 games left. That would all but seal the division win
