Eagles own Saints 1st rd pick

Look at some of the QB's that got big money extensions: Rodgers, Wilson, Murray, Watson, Carr, Stafford

17-33

That is their combined team records so far this season. There is something to be said about NOT committing big money to QB's who may be viewed at average or slightly above average.
Here's a stat: The only QB to get an extestion and have a winning record this year is Kirk Cousins, $35 mill for this year.

Because he was extended last year. Duh

So your counter point to Kirk Cousins being the only QB to having a winning record in 2022 when qualified by QBs extended in 2022 is a stat not about 2022 and an extension Dak did not sign in 2022?

The post didn’t mention 2022

Yes, this deeply concerns me.

Now I know what it felt like to be a Cowboys opponent in the early 90's. You watched them begin to dominate only to realize they had two 1st round picks the next draft....and the next. Many fans might forget that, not only did they have the picks from the Walker trade, but they also had a 1,2 and 3 from the Steve Walsh trade.

So you're thinking they will trade him? That would certainly be a shocker to the NFL world if he remains in the MVP conversation or even comes close in the voting. Not saying they wouldn't do it but if he keeps things rolling like he has been this season, that would definitely be a ballsy move.

I'm hoping they pay Hurts, and not use their two first round picks to move up for a QB. Hurts right now is in an ideal situation. The second that falls apart, he's back to himself. They're starting to see the same thing in Chicago and are now running a similar offense. Tennessee soon to follow.

The idea is to surround the QB with talent and lean heavy on the RPO. Avoid 3rd and long which opens up the pass. Lamar Jackson's passing stats looked great in 2019 for that reason. But it couldn't be maintained because none of these QBs are good passers.
