This makes no sense.

Goff has been to a super bowl and is on the right path in Detroit.

Dak has been highly successful in the league.

Wentz is garbage but all of you qb experts told us how great he was.
Dak has been “highly successful?” By what measurement? Regular season stats?

And you think Goff lived up to expectations as the #1 overall pick? No wonder you’re happy with Dak, your bar is incredibly low.

Right....

Not the worst qb class ever, that was the point.

I don't disagree with your post but on the other hand we have...

- Elite defense (got hurt by losing CB #2 and 3) but played championship level football.
- Great 1-2 punch at RB
- Good to great at times OL
- Good enough TE corps
- WR#1 is all pro caliber, the rest are scrubs.

This team that is around Dak should be good enough. Do they have to be elite at every level to have a chance?
once again our OL got man handled and that why we lost IMO., sure Dak INTs didn't help but qbs all of them tend to try and make plays when they feel that all there is on offense is try and make plays that might not be there..not letting dak completely off the hook but our offense against the rams 18, 21 9ers, and now this 9ers game our OL did NOT show up with a run game.. each loss no run game and very little time to throw.. its pretty obvious thats the bigger issue.

need more physical LG and either Steele back or new RT.. Tyron and Peters are older and cannot be counted on but more for depth swing guys next season.

you saying good to great how about all game they weren't we are not physical enough on the OL against the best DLs and when steele goes out it got worse, TB not 100%, even worse..Mcgovern not very physical..
elite, no we need a better OL

however, they need to do it..i realize 73 will get better but hes still growing wasn't this best, McGovern weak in run block, and Tb hurt and somewhat not very physical, steele out, 77 and peters were not the answer.. it faltered down the stretch and IMO we need to solve the OL first and foremost..

so NO a lot of changes are not necessary given b2b playoff berths 2nd round advancement and Says we have a lot of talent.

Just tweak the team , try and bring back the core add were needed and lets go do this again. MM gets one more shot..

Yup, Jerry is on a slot machine that he is sure is going to pay off after not paying out for so long. The odds are in his favor, he thinks.

The Eagles are a great analogy. They won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles, but realized Wentz was not the guy by 2020. They traded him for a 3rd and a 1st the following year. I find it hard to believe the Cowboys could not get a 1st round pick for Dak. The Cowboys don't need a great QB. They just need a QB with half a brain. Heck, I'd trade Dak at this point and see if Aaron Rodgers would like to play for a year or two. He may not be what he once was but he is smart and will not throw games away.
Wentz was just slightly removed from his near MVP year, and they traded him to Frank Reich. Perfect storm.

NOBODY is trading for Dak, and his big fat contract.... UNLESS the WE throw in so.e major draft capital for them to take on his contract.

We are NOT getting any picks for Dak.

All drafted prominent QBs in 2016. The Eagles and the Rams moved on despite their QBs expending high draft capital. The Rams have won a SB since then and the Eagles are on the doorstep of their second in 5 years. Jerry on the other hand doesn't want to be wrong. He will ride Dak no matter what. He is stubborn and loyal to a fault. Jerry is someone you want as a friend but not as your team's GM.

We missed that boat in 2020 when they gave him the exclusive franchise tag

If we trade Dak his CAP value for the team that takes him is only $31 million in 2023 and $29 million in 2024. But his new team can easily cut that in half by restructuring his deal and converting salary to bonus. This is what the Browns did with Amari Cooper. I think a lot of teams would take Dak for a sub-$20 million CAP hit.
