I think 3 years 21 million is fair and within Dallas's range. I think they would spend that on a rusher

I like Barwin, he would be the type of free agent the Cowboys could kick the tires on accordingly!

Wouldn't hurt our comp picks. Definitely worth bringing in.

He's as good as it's gonna get...which actually isn't that bad because he's a solid player and most importantly, doesn't miss games compared to Lawrence/Gregory. Sporting Charts has him at 27 hurries combined the past two seasons, which would be second most here to Tyrone Crawford (38) in that span compared to anyone else on the team.

No.

He struggled moving from a 3-4 OLB to DE last year under Jim Schwartz.

He'd have to be REAL cheap for me to have interest, and hell no at 3 years, $21MM.

It should raise a flag that the Eagles are said to want pass rush help and they wouldn't consider restructuring Barwin's contract even though he and his agent offered.

I take solace in the fact that they think it's wise to cut their players and then sign guys like Jeffery to one-year deals.

After Barwin, word is they now may cut Jason Kielce and have been pushing Jason Peters to take a paycut too and could ultimately let him go.

They're not getting better.

Who knows on the other stuff.

All I know is that when you are said to want pass rush help and are willing to cut a DE that is begging to stay to the point they offer to restructure his deal to take less and he's still cut, that's not exactly a guy I am running out to sign.

I don't think Dallas is "running out to sign" anyone right now. But he's a class guy, locker room leader, and good in the community. He had 14 sacks two years ago, so he can rush the passer. And he's has played both DE and OLB in his career.

If the price is right, I'd take a look, even as a pass rush specialist. Beggars can't be choosers, and with our need and the market, we're beggars.

He had 14 sacks two years ago playing as a 3-4 OLB. He struggled mightily as a 4-3 DE. What makes it worse is that Jim Schwartz's wide nine system was supposed to be friendly to a pass rusher like him and he still struggled.

He'd have to be real cheap for me to consider signing him.
