End of an era, but I guess it wasn't unexpected. I wouldn't be surprised if he was back with the Eagles after week 1.

read a report last year that his knees were so bad that after a game he could hardly walk for a day or two and had to miss a lot of practice time to be ready to play the next week.

If I'm so pretty, why am I available?

I was suprised to see that he is only 29. He should get out of the game while he still can walk.

I didn't think he was playing that badly but I guess with his knees and salary it just wasn't worth it.

Someone will pick him up but it won't be us.

After how we ran through the Broncos maybe they should take a look. :laugh2:

We should sign him now before someone else does. He has to be better than anyone we have. He's a vet and was on a different team.

He's probably going to hang around the locker room like he did when T.O. whipped his ***, they gave him some flunky title and he wasn't getting paid...sad really

Douglas was the guy that beat TO up.

Trotter actually liked him and tried to tutor him on being a team player. Obviously we know how that turned out :laugh1:

I always liked Trotter -- I remember when he was drafted -- he was a guy who I wanted us to take badly. Great player. He can contribute somewhere that he can play 15-20 snaps a game still.

Actually, I believe the story goes that TO kicked Douglas' booty and then asked (directed at McNabb) if anyone else wanted some.

As a player, regardless of *ANYTHING.... you always have a home in either Washington or Oakland

* being old, not able to perform, has been, misfit etc

I was definitely shocked when I heard the news.

I thought him and Spikes would make a nice combo.

I hope he calls it retirement, but I doubt that he will. If he does go to another team, I wish him the best and hopefully he can stay healthy.

I'm still a big fan of Trotter.
