Don't think that's happening. He's not falling to 4 and in some alternate universe where he does, Jerry picks him. Don't listen to what jerry says, look at what he does and the fact is he wanted a QB in the first rnd very recently. Glad he lost that argument because he wasn't a nfl QB, but the people that talked him down before would be happy with Wentz

Got a hunch from what I'm hearing...Browns are gonna roll w/ RG3...w/ the idea of getting Dak Prescott as their backup....They like Ramsey w/ their 1st.

Do I agree w/ it? ;)

We are talking about "moneyball" w/ the Browns now....

I think a deal involving Fletcher Cox might be enough to get them up to #1 overall with the Titans. Tennessee needs a lot of players throughout the roster and I think Cox teamed with Jurrell Casey would greatly improve their defensive front right away. And looking at their cap situation, they look to have the room to give Cox the big-money, long-term deal he's obviously looking for.

And while they would inevitably miss out on Tunsil at OT, they would still have a top prospect available to them at pick #8.

Just a hypothetical anyway...

Everyone would like to have Cox, but not everyone would want to pay him what his next contract is going to be.

yup....gonna cost them their 2017 #1 as well in my book....And even then...I'm still leary:oops:

I'd move from 4 to 8 for next year's #1 in a flash.
Then you just keep moving that extra #1 along until you see a QB you really want and pull the trigger.

Exactly. And that may very well include the Eagles themselves. I find it odd given the money they have otherwise thrown around lately that they have as yet been unable to work out a long term deal with Cox. I think it's possible that his asking price is so high that the team may be willing to trade him rather than paying that amount. Conversely, the Titans have few big money players and $24 million in cap room last I checked.

Just another fan theory based on rumor that I'm throwing out there as a hypothetical.

So if Philly (or anyone for that matter) goes up to 1 for Wentz, then Cleveland takes Goff at 2, does SD go Tunsil over Ramsey?

If not, then Tunsil, the consensus top overall player and safest pick, falls to us. Do we pass? Maybe the phone rings for a guy like him?

This is not a far fetched scenario, yet rarely discussed. I just wonder what Dallas would do if Tunsil is there and the phone isn't ringing.

I don't know if they view him that way or not but I did find it funny that they had a Press Conference for him as a Brown.

Just seemed odd to me for a guy that most view as a stop gap for the QB they would draft in the first.

Things that make you go...hmmmmm

Good luck moving all the way up from eight to the top one or two choices. They have no second round choice, only two thirds.

Unless they are willing to move players, I do not see how they feel they can get enough together to package for that kind of move unless they are willing to give up next year's first.

If some team takes their first and two thirds, then we know the fix is on.

I don't think it's that hard actually. They've got the two 3rds, they have future picks.

If I am a team, I am reluctant to take future picks unless it is a Griffin-style heist, especially in this draft. Once you get down to 8-10 in this draft, it really falls off fast in certain positions.

One thing to note.......... Lurie has done this before. He went on a whirlwind tour of QBs a few years ago and made a big hubbub about going to WVU to watch Geno Smith workout. Everyone in the media said the same thing............. they want a QB because the Eagles are spending so much time working out QBs. Draft came and they didn't take a QB, even when they had a chance to grab Smith when he slipped to Rd 2. They took Zach Ertz instead.

So this could be the media again jumping the gun.

I agree. I think they're targeting someone else.

I think teams would be ringing our phone of the hizzy hook.

Why fire Chip if your going to offer the Titans the same horsecrap trade you offered them last yr on draft day? If Tennessee is offered future 1s and a collection of the Eagles good players I'd probably take it this time.

I don't believe this whatsoever. Eagles have already made a serious commitment into two QBs and they still have offensive line issues.

As I have said before, Philly is only rumored in my eyes because they love to make headlines in the offseason, not so much because it makes sense.

In that scenerio....I'd bet the Jets are on the phone w/ us in a heartbeat. If they offered 1/20, 2/51 and Mo Wilkerson....You might have to consider it.

So your sitting @ 1/20...Take a William Jackson III CB Houston

Come back in round 2/34 for say Emmanuel Ogbah RDE Oklahoma St.

@ 2/51.............Jaylon Smith LB Notre Dame

@ 3/67.......Miles Killebrew SS Southern Utah

Wouldn't be a bad package.............then maybe in the 4th you come back to the offense...

Pharoh Cooper WR S.Carolina

Kenyan Drake RB Alabama

.....then in the 6th Brandon Allen QB Arkansas;)

Still 3 picks left.....

Yea I found that odd also, they are treating him as if he will be the starter.

The Eagles offered the Titans 3 first round picks for Marriotta..........Chippy had a massive woody for Marriotta.........and the Titans flipped them off.

Don't see those two teams doing a deal together this year.
