Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins: Dallas players are the problem; Cowboys defense won’t be any better

Let's use another example.

Say for example your mom is a drunk and your dad a druggy. They are on the dole as a result. You might complain about them for that but wouldn't you be upset if a non family member ripped them for being a drunk and a druggy or would it be ok because it was true?

I'd imagine after years of the same without recovery and me constantly defending them and making excuses for their condition, I'd get fed up. Like @Fredd, I live in Eagles territory. After a while, it's real hard to defend the indefensible.

Things like this always remind me of that line in Road House where the guy asks Patrick Swayze what if they call my momma a ***** and Swayze responds, "Well is she?"

Wait, are we talking about Jeff Ireland or Patrick Swayze?

Seriously though... Malcolm was simply sticking up for his old defensive coordinator. That's all he was doing. What he said in large part was true, but he knew Dallas fired Ryan and that Ryan felt like he was a scapegoat. As a matter of fact, he was probably just parroting what he heard Ryan saying last season.

Wow, what a surprise that you would celebrate and defend Jenkins.

Just, . . . . . . . . . astonishing.

No, I just don't see agendas everywhere. Sometimes the truth is just that, the truth.

We were 32nd in defense, lost a HOF, lost a probowler, signed a guy coming off an ACL, signed some backup scrubs, and depending on rookies the rest of the way.

Even Mickey Spags, king of the homers, has said that "right now" the team is not better than last year..................I am sorry if the truth hurts, but it is what it is.

Oh well at least now he gets to show just how overrated he really is because all the best receivers in his division last year were on his team, now all the best receivers are on his rivals teams.

Reading your post I was like "how can this guy be so negative" but man you are right on, and it hurts, I really see a 5 to 6 win year, hope I'm wrong.

It's not like the Eagles d is worth a . Unless your up for a new contract and you need your name out there you don't say motivational bulletin board material. Especially in your own division. Idiot.

did you not see that this conversation with you is dead to me? you are one of the sheep that is ok with someone else taking shots at the cowboys...that is baaaaaadddd...I am not responding to anything else you say in this thread as we won't have the same opinion on it...I am not OK with people taking shots at the cowboys, and you are...enough said....

Ok man. Ok. Don't get your feathers ruffled. I could care less if you respond or not. Makes me no difference one way or another. It's a message board and when you say things you're going to have people say things back. I'm sorry that you get upset if people don't blow nothing but respect and sunshines and rainbows about our Cowboys. You must have had the most miserable last 15 years then. Poor guy.

He may be right that it's the players. But who has been drafting these players???

Dallas completely shut down Philly in Philly, and was a drive from beating Philly for the division.

Mr. Jenkins, denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

You know, with that college education of his you would think at some point he would learn what a fallacy is. You can't conclude that the players are the issue simply because Rob Ryan had more success with the Saints. There are alot of extenuating circumstances to consider...the primary one in my mind being it is a whole lot easier to coach a defense when Drew Brees is the QB. Another circumstance that comes to mind are all of the injuries the Cowboys defense has suffered through the past two seasons. The one thing I will agree with him about, albeit not for the same reasons, Rob Ryan was not the problem when he was here.

It was a combination of bad players, bad scheme, bad coaching, and bad luck (injuries). Even with a new cast of nobodies it will be hard to be that bad again next season.

The signings weren't impressive, even Melton but Ware was lost 2 years ago not this off season. We're not gonna drop an extra 2 games because he's gone.

He can make any comment he wants when talking about a team that doesn't have any ability to make him pay for it. In other words, Dallas can't shut him up or make him pay for it.
