WIP610's Ray Diddinger is reporting that Samuel was helped off the field during the Eagles morning practice with an hamstring injury.

This kind of injury, depending on the serverity, can linger all year, like Steve Smith and T.O. will atest to.

Just like a WR, a CB has to be able to explode and stop on a dime(Hamstring works when trying to decelerate).

Wow! Things are looking not to good for the :Gold Standard" Eagles with not only an injury to their top dollar guy but have a handful of guys not happy which include Westbrook, Lito and Shawn Andrews.

Something to watch for as camp goes on for the Birds!

Geez dude, what are you happy.

We dont celebrate injuries around here. They are not good for anyone, our team or anyone else's. IF teams are watered down from injury the games are not good and in turn the league is not good.

I guess it's a good thing they got everything squared away with Lito.

Oh wait...

ya....besides i want T.O to light him up when we go against them twice this year.....

Lito Sheppard just came off the trading block.

They are lucky to have such good depth at CB. They won't have to rush him back.

Man I hate injuries. Even if the only eagles I like are in golf.

hmmmm ....something to think of....they won't have lito on the block now for boldin......

get it done jerra.......

Where the hell is there saying that I am happy he got hurt? Reading is an issue for you, I guess. Take a chill pill, cuz.

Speak for yourself. A division rival losing a star free agent acquisition to injury is just fine with me. I doubt an opposing team's fan would care much if the same happened to us.

Obviously, I don't believe much in karma.

I hate to see injuries myself. I think training camp is a little to long, even though it just started. Remember these guys do OTA's as well.

Just a note, this is the same Hammy he injured in OTA's according to WIP610.

The Eagle fans cheered when Irvin went down.

Seriously, I hate seeing somebody hurt. I deal with athlethes every day, so I would never be happy to see a guy go down.

Same goes for me. I don't "cheer" for injuries but I am not going to cry and worry about it when a rivals player goes down.

And like Alexander said, no opponent would have sympathy for us if TO or Romo went down. *knocks on wood*

I don't like injuries, but I do like the fact that Reid's two sons are in jail for drugs.

I have to agree we don't celebrate injuries unlike other fans of teams... It's bad karma dude.

Where does it say I am happy he was hurt? Another person that is reading into something that isn't there.:bang2:

That doesn't sound good. I smell a month of rehab.

OMG that still pisses me off. I will never forget that classless act.

Yeah its like "whatever helps you sleep at night" Jimmy Johnson didn't seem to have sympathy for his own players, tell Samuels to practice on the hamstring field. Honestly I am not that cold hearted but if we were playing NE in the superbowl and Brady got smashed by Ware and could not return would you not be smiling somewhere inside?

As I stated earlier, it sounds from reports that this is the same Hammy that Samuel injured at OTA's. Depending on the serverity, it could be a thing that lingers.

Would i rather beat them with Brady? Of course.....

But Would i be lying if I said that I wouldn't be extremely happy on the inside? Of course....

Would most fans feel the same way if they were completely honest with themselves? Of course

I think there is something to be excited about. It's that the Eagles as an organization and it's fans are set back by this. That makes me thrilled.

As for an injury to an individual, well that does seem to throw water on the fire of enthusiasim a bit, but come on.........

IT'S THE EAGLES WERE TALKING ABOUT HERE!!!!!!!!!! ;)
