Eagles still look like top NFC team

The Cowboys trail the Philadelphia Eagles for the top spot in the NFC East, and have lost a game to them head-to-head. Dallas is good at 9-3; Philly is better at 11-1.

And yet, according to ESPN, the Cowboys are overwhelming favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Per ESPN's projections, the Cowboys have a 29.3-percent chance to win the Super Bowl, by far the highest in the NFL.

Eagles are 11-1 and at this point the team to beat in the NFC. Can’t take anything away from them 11-1 is strong.

As much as I don't like the team, 11-1 is darn good. If the Cowboys were 11-1, most would be screaming one and done in the playoffs.

We won't win the division but we will make the playoffs. That's when we will learn how the cow eats the cabbage. What a great showdown.

Where can I bet those odds? Fanduel got the cowboys +800 and the eagles +500 which is still better than the bills at +370 and chiefs +460 but the bengals at +1200 might be worth a shot

There are many computer rankings sites that take a lot of the emotion out of it. I totally get the criticism from the people who are about to say this and that about computer rankings systems. I get it, they are flawed. Above is a site that aggregates many of them and puts out an average. The Eagles come out 4th. This isn't some juggernaut team. When I watch them, I certainly don't get some dynasty type vibe. Its a good, balanced team.

Computer rankings? No need to play any more games just break out the anointing oil. Plenty of games left and a great season for NFC East fans. I'm of course an Eagles fan but other than KC I don't see another team in the AFC that either Dallas or Philly would be likely to lose to....pending they stay injury free hopefully.

I have a feeling we are going to get two more shots at the Eagles, once on Christmas Eve and another in the playoffs.

It may not be until the championship game, if Minnesota loses to Seattle or Washington (very plausible) then the Cowboys would play SF in the second round.

I dont it will be a blow out either way, but I’ve sort of expected that game to be a loss for the Eagles. It’s the Cowboys SB and they will be hyped up for that game more than any other. It likely won’t lead to them winning the division, however. Cowboys are not winning out

Why do you feel that this game will be our SB? It's another game against a respectable foe.

As much as all of us hate to even think it, the Eagles are 100% legit this season. So? It just means our beloved Cowboys need to beat them. That's why we watch. The competition. Plus, with Dallas gaining momentum, it creates a huge showdown coming Xmas eve. Tons of expectation and added drama. This is turning out to be a great season. GO COWBOYS!
