I agree.
I cannot put the Vikings ahead of the Cowboys after what the Cowboys did to them at their house.
And I cannot put the 49ers ahead of the Cowboys with a total unknown at the most important position, even if the rest of the team is very good.
That puts the Cowboys at #2 in the NFC in my eyes.
We will see what happens on Christmas Eve to change that
The Christmas Eve game will be important only if the Cowboys keep winning and the Eagles lose a game in the same time span, Eagles have a two game lea and Dallas can't get the head-to-head advantage, of course. Even if Dallas beats them, they're still a game ahead of Dallas.
Best scenario is that the Giants and the former you-know-who team are in the running for a playoff spot and will need wins to get in.
Otherwise, the Giants and the other team will probably lay down just to get draft position and to thwart Dallas.
Like you said, though, we'll see....
