And NO, I don't want him

According to FOX29's Howard Eskin, the Eagles will eventually release CB Nnamdi Asomugha.

Another piece of the Eagles' "Dream Team" bites the dust. Asomugha graded out as one of the league's worst corners last season and is owed $15 million -- including $4 million guaranteed -- in 2013. Facing an ultimatum to slash his salary or move on, the two-time All-Pro has apparently chosen the latter. Asomugha will instantly become one of the biggest names available in free agency, but suitors expecting him to regain his Raider form will be disappointed. He'll be 32 in July, showed atrocious ball skills as an Eagle and appeared to lack long speed. The Eagles won't make the Asomugha cut on Wednesday, but multiple reports have it coming soon.

I was hoping he was going to stay. Now they have a chance to put someone out there who can cover and tackle. Shucks.

There's a lot to be said for a player fitting, or not fitting, a scheme.

His ball skills are horrible, looking at smaller WR's like Victor Cruz out jump him and make him look silly was sad.

Talk about Alan Ball of ball skills

I am so happy when did not sign this guy. He just cannot or will not tackle and not to mention how over paid he was.......we did get lucky.

I'm there with you. I liked him but not as the pay he was demanding.

We lucked out when Philly out bid us. Right now he would be getting his contrat re-structured putting more dead money on the horizon. He would not be getting cut here.

In his partial defense, having an offensive line coach become the defensive coordinator for a time does not benefit any player. Then include he underperformed and that is a bad mix.

I laughed when philly went outside their "comfort" zone and got into a bidding war for a FA. As much as I hate them their FO usually is smarter than that.

I'm just dying at the fact that just 2 years ago the Eagirls were the "Dream Team" and they had everyone penciling them in the Super Bowl for TWO STRAIGHT YEARS just 2 years later Babin, Asomugha, Jenkins and Vince Young are all gone lol. And Vick has to take a pay cut.

Believe it or not I still think Nnamdi is a stud.
He's better than AOA...that's for sure...but I digress...

For a bargain, I'd say, go get em Jerry!

That eagles defense, and team in general, went down the drain when DC Jimmy Johnson died.

HE was the reason behind them winning so much (minus superbowls and conf champs).

Andy is a good coach, but it was Johnson was the best coach on that team.
