Eagles trade 6th overall pick to the Dolphins

The Eagles tried to trade up to 3 to get BYU's Wilson, couldn't, so traded back. 3 first rounders in 2022 will have them rebuilt in no time.

Wow. The Eagles are going to go into full rebuild mode. Possibly 3 first round picks in next year’s draft.
Man I wonder is there a list out there of this working? Having multiple 1st round picks? It almost seems like its better to trade up for on premiere guy then it is to stay with that pick. I know it seems to be sucking for the Raiders.

Not without any direction. That in itself shows they have no idea what they are doing. At the every least they could've at least gave Hurts some weapons to make him look good and ship him out for more draft capital.

How do they have three?
Yeah one of their picks from the Colts has the chance to be a 1st rounder. I don't think its as for certain as people want us to believe though. He first has to stay healthy and then have to hope the Colts are good. If the Colts are 0-5 or something along those lines no matter how good Wentz is I can't imagine them not sitting him.

Good point I forget the Raiders has three first round picks and only the running back was any good.

Yep. And Josh Jacobs is coming off a season where he averaged 3 yards a carry. I think he's a stud though. You're right man those other two picks sucked and then they had two draft picks last year and they are off to a bad start though.....you have to wonder why they even took Arnette that high to begin with. I'd like to think Ruggs will be ok.

Dolphins and 3 last year too......not off to the best start either.

I like the move for Miami. No doubt they are looking to add to their talent starved offense, and while there would have been good players available at #12, 3 QBs going top 3 guarantees that one of Chase, Pitts or Slater will be there at #6. They paid 1 first round to turn a good player into a blue-chip player. And if Fields is there at 6, things get very fun.

WRT Philly, Howie is clearly out on this quarterback class and is looking to add ammo for a 49ers style trade next year. But I guess he and I disagree on Fields' evaluation. To me, Fields is a #1 overall talent in any other year, and if Miami wants your #6 pick anyway, it would be cheaper to deal from 6-->3 this year than to sell the farm next year. But again, it sounds like he doesn't like Fields.

Kyle Shanahan does though, and that sounds like a scary good fit.

Good moves for SF and Miami. SF obviously targeting a Qb, that's the only reason you go to 3. Miami, who knows, but they stay in the top 10 and will get an elite player (giving on Tua would be stupid IMO). If I'm a Philly fan, I'm pissed, though I guess there's still a chance that Waddle or Pitts falls to them.

I don’t see Pitts getting past us.

They have two picks this year. The 3rd, which was from Houston and then their own.

They traded the 3rd for the 12th pick and netted another first round pick in 2022 giving them two first round picks in 2022.

They then flipped the 12th pick this year for the 6th pick this and gave up one of their first round picks next year (not sure which one - their own or the 49ers pick).

So in the end, they still have two firsts this year and one first next year.

Thanks.

I think that SF might like Lance instead of Fields... although I could be wrong.

They will take a QB at 3 and sit him for a year. Then release Garoppolo most likely
That's what I'm thinking too.

They likely knew they weren't getting Wilson. Otherwise, the Jets would have dealt down because speculation is that the 49ers approached the Jets first and were turned down.

I'm betting it's going to be Lance. I just don't see them moving up to get Fields. Lance is probably most teams' sleeper pick, one they initially hope would fly under the radar, but now teams are woke on him.

Shanahan is good at working with young quarterbacks as the 49ers are good at developing talent. Bring a young, teachable stud like Lance in, sit him for one to two years, unleash him on the league.

I don't care who falls to 10 from the receivers or Pitts. If Surtain or Horn are there, I am selecting one of them. Probably Surtain but Horn is growing on me. Our defense was historically bad last year and picking one of these guys is gonna make them more than respectable, especially after what we did in free agency. And, with our offense, we are gonna be a team that nobody wants to play and I could see us making some noise

Wrong pitts/chase or even waddle over any defensive player.

Dolphins are setting up to be a serious team. Good for their fans. Ton of young talent. Ton of picks. Good looking young coach. They are set up.

Top 4 picks are likely QBs and top 6 offensive players (CIN -Sewell/Slater, Miami - Chase). Does NE look to trade up to 10 for Mac Jones. I certainly wouldn’t mind moving back.

Yeah but it makes you wonder if Wentz goes out there and struggles.....and they start the season 0-5 or something along those lines....don't you have to bench him at that point? Maybe not then but that's kind of the catch with it. You trade the pick to get a look at Wentz in your offense....if your team sucks...you leave him and give up a potential top 5 pick?[/QUOTE
