ESPN sources: 49ers and Eagles are working to finalize a trade that will send edge rusher Bryce Huff to San Francisco for a mid-round pick. The trade cannot and would not be processed until after June 1. But both sides are working to make it happen, and Huff already has reworked his contract to help facilitate the trade. In San Francisco, Huff will be reunited with 49ers DC Robert Saleh, his former HC with the Jets.

You wonder if our talent is going to force them into a rebuild.

So the Eagles basically bought a 3rd-5th round pick for Huff’s signing bonus. And he’s reworking his deal for cap alleviations, I wonder how much.

We still have the Haason Reddick 3rd round pick coming to us in the 2026 draft; if Huff’s pick is there too then that would be our 13th 2026 draft pick

How much of Huff’s pay this year are the Eagles paying? That’s an expensive 4th round draft pick, but better than nothing as he was likely going to be waived.

I think Emmitt said it best, every decade, a team should admass a talented team that can make it deep into the playoffs. The iggles seem to have that down.

Must be nice to be able to give up or buy good talent.

It will take Schotty a day or so for that trade to sink in and then reconsider what he has gotten himself in and the rest of his Dollar Store coaching staff.

When they signed Huff I thought it was worth a shot. Philly takes big swings. All of them don’t pan out. Eagles do move on from players. Can’t argue with success.
That’s where you’re very wrong. The way to do it is to continue to double down on mistakes. Again and again.

Be stubborn about being right, and demand your ROI because youre an entitled billionaire and no one is better than you.

Lol. That perfectly sums up the difference between Jerry's front office and Howie Roseman/Jeffrey Lurie's front office. The Eagles getting anything of value back for Huff is an accomplishment in and of itself considering that he was a complete flop. Ironically, he wore number zero.

Huff was a stiff. He'll never get a fifth-round pick. From what I hear this will save the Eagles 15 million against the cap. They'll split 18 million over the next 2 years so that's around 9 million this year in dead money, and 9 million next year. The Eagle should give San Francisco a fifth-round pick for just taking him and paying the remaining 7 or 8 million. It's a good trade for the Eagles, but pay him $8 million is not worth it for San Francisco unless he performs like he did his last year in New York. Their mistake was not keeping Hassan Reddick
