I like Jackson as a player.

I think he's legit.

I liked him coming out of Cal and wanted Dallas to draft him.

Having said that,

I can't wait for Newman to shut that little troll down, TWICE!

Payback is coming.

I dont unless he was my 3rd receiver.

I realise he was a rookie and still may develop but the guy is a 1 trick pony as a receiver.

I expect to see him nicked a lot during his career due his size.

:hammer:

Plus, we had him in the box for character reasons.

I think his whole career he'll be one of those talented guys for whom it's always something.

A hyperextension - is that all? I was kinda hoping he stepped on a landmine or something.

JK, Iggles lurkers. Get well soon, Jackson. I wanna see the Cowboys smoke 'em 'straight up'.

:laugh1:

Dang Right!!!

I hope he misses a lot of Cowboys games. The guy is gonna cause problems when healthy.
I don't understand why he doesn't get molested at the line more. He's so small.

I have reservations about him but I don't see him as being one dimensional. He's definitely not a possession WR but he's a very dynamic slot type WR with speed and the quicks.

IMO, that's the most difficult type of WR to cover (assuming they can get off the line) and the most likely to quick strike.

He's a player you have to watch every play and game plan for. I'd call all that more than one dimensional.

Get someone on him who can be physical. He is a mighty-might and will always have injury issues as small as he is.

He doesn't have Welker toughness, that is for sure.

That's a good plan. You are right about him.

I'd lean that way myself. I don't think he's had a lot of trouble getting off the line so the physical part is already dealt with.

But I agree about him being a greater injury risk than a bigger player. How much I really can't say. It's more an individual thing than small vs larger, IMO. You really can't predict injuries. JMO.

My knock on him is a suspicion he draws trouble. But he's been nothing but explosive on the field so far.

Hate the Eagles but have to give credit for their talent among other things.

BTW, I'd like to see Scandrick on him this year. And I would try to disrupt his routes getting off the line. If they do that the CB will need the safety watching him out of the corner of his eye at all times and cheating that way.

With the reports coming out of camp about out secondary. I am not so worrisome over DJ. Nobody covers the slot better than Scandrick. That's a good plan. Scandrick is like glue on some of these WR's. Get him on DJ and just work him over, get in his head...ala Kevin Smith.

Scandrick can do that.

My dad and I had a talk today - he feels that we need a speedy receiver like Terry Glenn to stretch the field and that the Eagles might be the team to beat...I countered by saying that with 2 ACLs to key players and a new defensive coordinator (God rest Jim Johnson's soul) they will be shaky on defense. Also, I went on to say we don't need some super-fast receiver, and that our strength on offense will be distribution and matchups.

oh, and :trophy: just for giggles
Even more than that, they lost their leader ON the field... Brian Dawkins, Jim Johnson was a great great loss, and I loved his passion for defense, But Dawkins will hurt more than they know.

I hate the Eagles more than any team in the NFC east. But Jim Johnson, I had the up most respect for as a man and a coach.
