I hope and hope that they don’t do something studpid and trade for Earl Thomas for a second. And than turn around and give this guy a 50 million dollar contract. He is not worth in draft capital for us. This is just a reaction and we are getting suckered in by the Seahawks and Earl. Let him play and I bet come 8 games into the season we can get him for a 4 or 5 round selection. Having him from the start is Not going to save or lose our season. Tell me when a Safety takes unthe the super bowl. It’s a asset and always good to have one. But it’s a supporting role on a Championship Team

Dallas will not make the trade without an understanding of what it would take to sign him long term, but a 2nd is too high IMO. A 3rd at most as far as I'm concerned and then I still rather not do the deal, move up and get James if u want a safety so badly.

Just to keep it in a draft context, Seattle drafted two safeties last year by round 4. They're moving on from Earl Thomas. There's no reason to be stupid and give up a high pick. Just wait them out.

Last year, safeties Justin Evans (50, Bucs), Josh Jones (61, Packers), John Johnson (91, Rams), and Eddie Jackson (112, Bears) were all drafted 50 or later, all played a similar number of snaps as Earl Thomas, and all had comparable production. The most expensive will be Evans at around $1 million per year for the next three years. We can find a starting safety in RD2 and probably even RD3.

Will be very disappointed if they deal anything higher than a 4th. Maybe could be talked into an additional 4th if we get a team-friendly extension.

I would rather take a fraction of that money and have given it to suh, and used that pick to move up for vita vea. Which I don’t even want to do that, but for me those two on defensive line plus the secondary we have would be a better bargain.
