Soon to be 29 wanting 11 mil a year...
Seattle asking for #50 ..is it worth the pick? hes getting older & would probably need a 4 year 44-50mil contract....with Martin, Dak, Lawrence all needing contracts next year..would you pull the trigger?

I don't no man.rashaan Evans is still in the draft right?on the other hand our defense could use some experience player but imo hé is asking to much money

Not asking to much $$ look what Berry just signed for 6 year 78 mil

Mike fisher this morning is saying the cowboys have said they will give pick 50.

Torn on this. LVE and then Thomas would make the middle of the defense much better. But, I would never give up pick 50 unless they sweeten ithe deal more. Giving up #50 AND a lot of cash could hurt the future

I don't know, to rich for me. I'm intrigued with the ET, but man that's a lot to give up imo, and then pay another premium to resign him? Thank I'd pass. Maybe a third? Definitely a fourth, if he'd work with the Cowboys on the resign. Really, what's Seattle going to do if they don't find a trade partner....cut the man? I think I would wait.

although ET sounds appealing and fills a hole nicely, I don't like the idea of trading pick 50 for a one year rental. If they're able to agree on an extension, the number I've heard of $11m/yr is contradictory of the Cowboys recent FA strategy. We're just getting out of salary cap hell and this reads Carr all over again

Fisher is saying that cowboys have a contract offer and they need him to agree before they give up 50 but cowboys are ready to give it up. So take that for what it is.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to see if I can find out more on this. Interesting indeed.

Remember that they cut Dez, so some of that money could be used for Thomas. They will have plenty of money. The only question becomes what they do with Zack Martin when he comes due. My guess is that they can't keep Martin and D-Law if they sign Thomas, but we'll have to see what the cap situation is by that point (likely no Witten and we'll be mostly out and under from Romo). I'd still do the trade and hope for the best. Not a lot of good Free Safeties coming down the pike in this draft and in general. Thomas would give us a playmaker and a locker room presence with leadership and a ring.

It's just nice to see they're working on the defensive side of the ball. Adding Earl for 3 or 4 years could be huge or it could set the team back (due to the cap hit). I think I'd roll the dice and pick up Earl, he's proven himself year and year.
